Here is a picture file that can be used to make up UK numberplates.



The font is the correct, unique one used.

To use - download the file ( right-click, save as to your PC).

Edit the file with a bitmap editor, e.g. the basic Microsoft Paint program.

As with the sample number plates e.g. FSL 936, select, copy, paste & move individual letter / numbers in to the clear scratch area below, assemble your numberplate and tidy it up. Frame it if required, using a line drawing function. For the later white / yellow plates, infill one of your plates with yellow.

Then start a Microsoft Word document as well; select and copy the numberplate from the bitmap file, and paste it in to the Word document. Size the image in the Word document; numberplates in 1/32 scale will be around 4mm x 15mm, though doing several copies of the image in in a range of sizes of, say 3.5mm x 15mm to 4.5mm x 17mm is a good idea.

Then print the Word document on paper, or card. As the numberplate lettering is typically a light grey or light metallic rather than white, the white could be toned down either by printing to a very pale grey paper, or by lightly rubbing over with a soft pencil & smudging in with a fingertip after printing.

Cover the printed numberplates with clear sellotape, cut out & stick on. Alternatively, print to decal paper.
