Does anyone need any help setting a Blog up, configuring their Blog or adding data to it?

Under "Your Blog Settings", in the "Look" tab, you can determin if your default state of blog entries is 'Draft' or 'Published'.

Then at the bottom of each entry, you can make sure the entry is set to 'Draft' or 'Published'.

When it is in 'Draft', it will look pinkish. It will be visible to you, but it will be invisible to all others except moderators. Like this:

When it is 'Published', it will look like a normal post. It will be visible to you and all others. Like this:

I mention this, as I see quite a few pink entries and I'm not sure if everyone is aware of this.

Dennis David uses these well in his Blog?.

Check out his Cartoon of the Week Block, it contains this code:
CODE
[center]<a target="_blank" href="http://www.ddavid.com/slot-car-gallery/images/cartoon18.jpg">
<img border="0" src="http://www.ddavid.com/slot-car-gallery/images/cartoon18s.jpg"></a> [/center]
Make sure that HTML for the Block entry is turned on.

He uses Custom Content Blocks for menus and indexes too, linking to parts of his site.

Why not try one out and see how you can use one creatively.

OK, following popular demand, we have loaded up a new skin to allow Blog uses to distinguish themselves a little bit.

Check it out in the 'settings' tab. The new skin is called 'Webber'.

If you like this idea, we can add more skins to give you the possibility to customize your Blog even more. Please let me know... thumbsup.gif

We are talking trackbacks.

We were talking about it over on Bleep's Blog.

A trackback is a means for two or more Blogs to cross-reference each other automatically.

You have to enable it first. Then every entry you post will have a trackback URL. I can use this in my Blog to link to your Blog if I want to write about the same stuff as you and then your Blog will know what I'm up to in a freindly way.

You have to copy the Trackback URL from post on the site that you wish to send the trackback. Then when your post is done, click the '> Entry Options' button on the bottom and then click '+ Send Trackback'. Paste the URL into the box and click 'OK'.

To organize the layout of your Blog, simply drag-and-drop the header-cell of the boxes to the locations that you want.

Hi all thumbsup.gif

Been upgrading the Forum today. It seems to be working fine - just a few issues to sort out:
  • The links to reviews
  • The Resources page
  • The Shopping page
The Blog software is now installed - as you can see cool.gif

This is really a cool feature that will allow you to keep trak of you slotcar hobby. Use it:
  • For your SlotCar hobby
  • For your scratchbuilding progress reports
  • For your Slot Racing activities
  • For your Motor Racing or Motorcar fan activites
