The second race to be held on Sunday, was our GTS class, an open non mag class for GT1 cars.
We had gathered 10 racers for this one and a diverse field of cars on the grid:

It is obvious that the Slot.it Mclaren is the most popular choice here. We also had a few Spirit Pugs and a couple of MB slot Pagani Zonda. A unique entry was the single Fly Evo3 Ferrari F40, the only inline car of the field.

When the race started it was obvious that this would be a one man (and car) show. The purple Pagani driven by Petros, set the pace right from the start, and nobody was up to it. He cleared the race with ease, scored the most laps and broke all lap records.
The Mclaren team had the most entries and high quality drivers. Christos and Christine with the two orange cars (Christos' was plain orange while Christine's had Jagermeister decals) fought hard but I managed to beat them both to the finish line and get second place. Christine was next on the same lap and Christos a couple of laps behind. George Petris drove the blue 406 in fifth place. He had a pair of new and untreated tires, fitted right before the start because his car bottomed out is some sections and this didn't help much with traction. Iraklis was in sixth place with the other Zonda really close (only 9meters away). The closest finish of the weekend was between Maria and Vasilis though. Maria beat Vasilis to gain seventh spot, for only 1.28meters!! Neoptolemos followed with the third 406 and Alexis with Fly Ferrari F40.

Podium finish for GTS racers:

Petros on top, I was second and Christine third.

Results after 20mins:
1 Petros ------------> 164laps + 17,14m
2 Timos -------------> 158laps + 23,54m
3 Christine ----------> 158laps + 1,05m
4 Christos -----------> 156laps + 19,66m
5 George ------------> 154laps + 21,31m
6 Iraklis -------------> 154laps + 9,78m
7 Maria --------------> 143laps + 4,42m
8 Vasilis -------------> 143laps + 1,28m
9 Neoptolemos ------> 139laps + 10,80m
10 Alexis -------------> 112laps + 6,14m

That was a very good race indeed. All cars were very well tuned and driven very fast. Open rules meant that AW boxer style motors ruled here, with low ground clearance and carefully selected gearing and tuning. The MB Slot car is a rocket when properly tuned and driven, but need precision both in tuning and in driving. Most user-friendly car must be the Mclaren, and it is capable of very fast lap times. The Spirit Pugs are very fast too, only a bit more difficult to tune and drive, and possibly need some more aftermarket parts (like aluminum wheels and gears). Again, inline cars are definitely off the pace here.
