I have never shown this detail before, but because my track goes back and forth from vertical to horizontal, I made a dust cover for the entire unit, hand sewn (somewhat crudely) from white sheets. The dust cover goes on every time I stow the track away. Here is a pic of the table as it looks when first folded down...the two support legs are in place: ![]() The front edge of the dust cover is held in place using velcro...there is strip of black velcro loop running all along the front of the table edge and hook tabs on the dust cover itself. In this pic you can see the cover partially folded back (I use my grabber to help with this if needed) and the velcro fasteners: ![]() Two points of interest here...in the left-hand pic you can see that there is a cavity behind the track. I just drape the dust cover out of the way back there and it simply falls out of sight into the base. That cavity is created by the 8 inch height I have allowed for the edging and any structures on the track surface. I didn't necessarily think this through completely, but it worked out great...it is a perfect storage space for the dust cover. It is also very easy to walk to the side of the track and pull the dust cover up and back out over the tabletop when it is time to fold the unit away. In the right hand picture, please note that there is a slight lip at the front of the table. I did plan this. I knew the dust cover would be attached to the front, and I wanted a clean line at the top when the table was in the vertical position. I attached a 1/4 inch piece of stock along this edge just to give it some heft. The velcro loop is mounted right above this lip. When the track table is vertical, one cannot see the dust cover at all. The dust cover really is a big help in cutting down time on track maintenance.
