Four Lane Blacktop, Swindon
 | We are now settled at St Mary's Church Hall, Silverless Street, Marlborough, Wilts SN8 1JQ. We race a schedule of 1/32 hard body classes on our four lane wooden track, with regular forays into HO, slotstox and BSCRA-style racing. New members always welcome. Loan cars and controllers always available. The first visit is free, then £5 adults, £2 juniors. We're also involved in inter-club and national racing, raising money for charity through racing and running the odd World Championship here and there. Last night the latest step on the FLBT journey was taken with the move downstairs into our new room (same venue).
I had wondered if the move to a larger space would have a negative effect on the ambience but none of it, a great nights racing and the easier 'put away' saw us make the pub in plenty of time. It was the turn of our stock SCX rally class this week so here are a few pictures. Some cheerful looking chaps  What is that fat bloke on about now?  Graham very much 'on it' in practice  dragrap? on race control duties? yeti just out of shot   slingshotx's winning car, second was dragrap's mk2 Escort, third marctownsend Fiat 131, fourth Graham Mattingley Seat (131?)  Also in attendance, Andyslots, cliveharland, roblees, Darren Morgan and Paul Wharton

Good pics Marc, was a fun night wasn't it? With some very close racing, can't believe Andy only came 7th whenever I raced against him I struggled to keep up!!
I've updated the scores on the website for Tuesday and the couple of weeks that I missed, for those that don't know it's www.flbt.co.uk, click the tabs at the bottom to look at individual class results. Less than 50 points between the top 4 and still a couple of months to go! |
