Hold that paintbrush, Gray, chances are the car you modelled has those non-standard light units anyway. There must have been a headlamp unit favoured by the rally brigade that didn't have the built in sidelamp bulb.

Sadly, I can even tell you what those white/orange units were from. Hillman Imp!

Mr M,

I have been trying to identify the Brake Pads on my Trike.

The Local Motor Factors were stumped.

Should I send you some pictures?

Regards,
Ewan.

Sorry, Gray, I didn't know that Ford were sponsored by Gulf... blink.gif

I'd have LOVED to have seen the (only one happened) London Mexico liveried car (Hannu Mikkola, I think - not 100% sure, mind) - red and white, wut with a "cow catcher" grill on it, and slightly raised....

Or, (if being "correct") a Roger Clark (sp) version (white and blue), as he was (questionably still is) one of the greatest racing drivers this country has produced.......

Sorry Ewan, you're straying out of my specialist field there. Though I didn't think Reliants had disc brakes! I suspect there is some parts/storeman somewhere who would be able to help! A pic of the rear lights and I'll have a go.

Did some Google image searching last night and firstly the Imp lights seem to be referred to as "Works" indicators by Ford buffs wacko.gif and secondly it seems that the recent Scalextric models have them modelled that way. And I've got those!

Nice car, you slipped that one in when I was sunning myself on the shores of the Adriatic. I've just bought a couple of Golf GTis on ebay would Gulf work there do you think.

If you mean the front ones, then probably the entire front end will be from the donor bike, if you know what donated the forks and front wheel then that would be the avenue to chase ... if not try a motorcycle dealer, take the pads in and ask them to match it.

Thanks Savage,

Already changed the front ones.

Front Brake is only for the MOT anyway.

In a Epic Saga (involving me getting ripped off about three years ago and only realising it now) she is being converted back to Drums on the rear.

Regards,
Ewan.
