The guide only sits 3mm in the slot,

You can allways replace is with a Ninco sprung guide

My chassis snapped after removing the rear axle and popping it back in again,

It is true but if you enlarge just a bit the axle mounts with a round file before snapping back it will be ok

Worst of all is that hardly anyone stocks any pinions and axlegears for the offset Sebring chassis

You have 2 choices:
1-replace with Slot.it offset gears available at Pendles among others
2-use standard gears and run them in for 15 min after you have pasted with toothpaste then rinse with water.
The only downside is that they dont work in reverse.

Any chance of some photos, or maybe tell us what it runs like?
Cheers,
Tom.

Well it is like all sebring chassis.
We only race non magnet. and cars from most manufactures must be tuned to work, Here is what i do with sebring cars
1 Change complete rear axel = mb slot axel and bushings Slot it offset gear, Nsr wheels and rubber.
2 brass tube glued in chassis for front axel
3 MB slot guide with NSR brushes.

Sorry no camera.

The Sebring chassis has an FF slimline motor with a 1.5mm shaft. Which SlotIt pinion fits this narrow shaft?

It's like busterfla said, a Kellison is NOT a Cheetah. Kellisons were not built by Bill Thomas, and were intended for the drag strip, not road racing. Maggiacomo even built a topless version of one in 1959 or 1960. Let's not get confused here.
