Issue 8 (Lulu version) arrived today.

The photographs by Mr. Rowland and Ms. Haines are insanely good. You're going to think the head on picture of the March on page 8 is the real car. Then you look very closely, and you're still going to think it's the real car. Lynne's dusty rally car is cheating though.. I didn't think you allowed superimposing real car shots on to track sets. happy.gif

The rest of the magazine is just basically.. really good. wink.gif

BigSkyBanker - you should be our "Head Of Promotions".

Thank you for the kind words. I'm sure the people concerned in those two articles (Lynne Haines and Andrew Rowland) will be dead chuffed.

Glad you enjoyed the mag.

While I'd love to take credit for the Escort, Mark, I'm afraid it should go where it's due. That Escort is an off the shelf SCX muddy. All I did was clean the windscreen a little.

Cheers
Lynne

Hmmmm.I may have to buy a rally car or two, if they make them that nicely. (If somebody would only make a few more vintage F1 RTR cars that looked that good. Okay, I know the Scalex Lotus 49 and Eagle Weslake are pretty darn good--I'm rambling).

Well, as long as I'm critiquing the magazine...

I had to go up from 1.25x to 1.50x on the reading specs to make it through the article on Charlie Fitzpatrick...that gray and green background is tough on the old eyes.. happy.gif

I had to find something to complain about. wink.gif

A thought for any one poised to judge someone else's grammar:

"If any one of you is without sin, let him be the first to throw a stone at her." John 8:7

No stones coming from this quarter. wink.gif

On the other hand, it is a surefire way to turn any sleepy thread into a hot topic in 24 hours or less. biggrin.gif
