Do the Megas at WHO have to follow any of the EAHORC rules - front axle, wing or tyre height?

I think they're exactly the same as the EAHORC rules in terms of the front end. Which is another reason why I'll be putting one in my racebox sometime this year.

You'll find the rules here Deane! www.whoracing.org.uk tongue.gif

With only one or two in the field - not at the moment wink.gif

The tyre rule is that the stock rubber has to be run (as with Super-G+ and Micro Scalextric). This gives a slightly different feel to the EAHORC formula but a similar result = more speed on the straights but the danger of more offs that a Tyco and similar lap scores.

The EAHORC front-end changes were made because the length of the body in front of the guide pin on a Mega-G can cause collisions on tight corners.

Our F1 tracks tend to have only one or two 6" turns and not too many 9" ones. At the last race I ran a Tyco and nerfed several other Tycos off (sorry guys) but ran side by side (Tyco-to-Mega-G) with Simon for a lot of laps. I'll keep a close eye on things as the number of Mega-Gs increases (hopefully after May/June and the next AFX consignment).

Also, it is legal to run the Mega-G with the EAHORC front wing/axle configuration - which means racers don't need two chassis to run at the two clubs. We will offer an upgrade for £3 (EAHORC legal tyres and Wizzard axle).

Gareth - It'll be cool to look at some lap times with the Life Like M to decide on whether we allow silicone tyres or not. I don't think the M-car will end up a very popular chassis in F1 (due to availability), but I'd want it to be competitive. It is allowed in EAHORC F1 alongside the Turbo and Tyco.

I've been driving my stock LifeLike M Nascar at home the past couple of nights. My longest straight is only 45 inches so not particularly long but you can see and feel it is very quick in a straight line. I've used quite a few 6" corners though which it hangs its tail out through in a major way. I'm going to have to lower the rear tyres significantly to really unlock the pace in the car but I think it could be fun.

Surely the lack of traction mags qualifies it for silicones!! biggrin.gif

Yeah they are really aren't they!! If I can slam the rear successfully and test well, I'll bring it to a meeting before the end of the year.

I've got a LL-M Nascar. I'll try and check some straight line times, as I currently have a 12' straight with timing lights both ends so can compare flat out speed againgst my Tyco/MS/Super G biggrin.gif

That would be brilliant to see the results of that. It definitely looks quick when I open it up!
