> WRC TV Coverage in the UK, When, where and who?

Over the last week or so there has been lots of news about North One Television loosing the TV rights for the WRC and Eurosport becoming the promotor etc. All very sad for the companies and individuals concerned etc, etc.

However has anyone got a clue as to when the WRC will be shown on UK TV and on which chanels. Before you all say Eurosport UK - i have looked and nothing showing for the next week (bear in mind Monte starts 17th Jan.

No info on www.WRC.com either (not suprising seeing as it is run by North One!)

Motors TV (on their web site) say they will be covering the event;

Wed. 18.01 22:35
WORLD RALLY CHAMPIONSHIP MONTE-CARLO DAY 1

Thu. 19.01 1:15
WORLD RALLY CHAMPIONSHIP MONTE-CARLO DAY 1

But they get their footage from ...... North One.

Anyone know any more??

Well, that bites. Not to mention it will probably add fuel to the fire about the WRC and IRC merging, since Eurosport already runs the IRC. What a very odd situation. I was just looking on the WRC website last week for the latest TV info, and it was still pointing at ESPN for UK coverage.

The Rally Radio team are still posting on Facebook but its all been covered above so far.

Facebook Linky - I don't think you have to be registered to see this but surely everyone is on Facebook...

They are talking confidently about there being "radio" coverage so that's looking hopeful.

Nothing on the Ralio+ website either - very sad. Though welsh language on S4C, all the driver interviews (except Gwyndaf!) were done in English.

Eurosport schedule website now shows highlights of Monte on at 10pm on Wednesday and Friday, 11pm for the other days. thumbsup.gif

Are you a member of any of the specialist motorsports torrent websites ? Broadcasts tend to be available there not long after they have aired. Well, depending on the time of day that they air.

Type in 'Eurosport Player' into Google. For £4 a month, you get full access to all the Eurosport channels, streamed live online, including the HD channel.

Not only do you get the WRC, but the IRC, BSB, Le Mans, and the ILMC and the WTCC, as well as other racing series.
