At Worthing HO Racing we compete for the following championships, with trophies and prizes presented at our December meeting:
Club Championship - John Ferrigno Junior Club Championship - Callum Davidson F1 Class Championship - Mike Dadson F1 Class Junior Championship - Callum Davidson F1 Classic Cup - Andrew Rose Mod Class Championship - John Ferrigno Mod Class Junior Championship - Callum Davidson Nascar Class Championship - Andrew Rose & Darren McHarg Nascar Class Junior Championship - Callum Davidson Rookie of the Year award - Duncan Skelt The Club and Class championships award points to 32nd place: 160 130 110 90 80 70 60 55 50 45 40 35 30 28 26 24 22 20 18 16 14 12 10 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1 In all championships, each drivers worst score is dropped. Junior championships are open to racers who have not reached 16 years old by the first event of the season. Juniors take points earned in the main championship to count towards the junior championships. The 'Rookie of the Year' competition is for racers who have not raced in more than 3 HO race events before the start of the 2012 season. It runs on a different points system (the same as the Nascar 'Rookie of the Year'): 10 - 9 - 8 - 7 - 6 - 5 - 4 - 3 - 2 - 1. Points for the 'F1 Classic Cup' are awarded for racing the Tomy Turbo (with bar magnet), Tyco 440x2, Life Like M or MicroScalextric cars in all the heats and the final of an F1 event. Please let us know when you sign in that you'll be racing for Classic Cup points. The points awarded are: 25 - 18 - 15 - 12 - 10 - 8 - 6 - 4 - 2 - 1 Points awarded at each event are included in the results spreadsheet of the event. We drop the points into a championships spreadsheet and post the updated version here. Do let us know if you spot any errors - it all seemed to work okay last year
