i just picked up the avant slot opel manta on saturday. a great looking car, and a quick look underneath shows a pink motor in anglewinder setup, and alloy rear wheels. its only 2wd (to be honest im not sure about the real car) and has a drop on guide. It has approxamitly the same wheelbase as a chevy camaro so its long and wide and should be a brilliant runner. Cant wait to get it on the track.

Sorry ive got no pics but there are plenty online to google i think lol

The real Manta is about 10 inches shorter than a real Camaro, though in 1:32 scale this would be 8mm.

And Mantas were 2wd, both of mine used to slide very controllably, much better than a Capri, my Mantas were also good in snow, certainly better than the Talbot Sunbeam I had before the first Manta.

sorry for the confusion the wheelbase is accurate for length it is closer to my msc rs200, it is probably about 8mm shorter than my hornby camaro, what i meant was the width at the rear wheels was the same, making for a nice wide car.

Two more additions to the SRGB collection, both superbly made by Andrew Sykes;

Saab V4 - RAC 1975 - Stig. (re-worked Ocar Saab 96)

Ford Escort MK1 (Old Scalextric C52 body) - Mark Higgins 2005 Winner of the RAC (Roger Albert Clark).

Veeeerrry nice thumbsup.gif

I still fancy a set of Stobart decals for a Mark one and Mark two, they would make a cracking set.

Go on show us a pic of your Stobart cars both together biggrin.gif

That green Saab 96 is marvellous! I saw a 1:1 car with the same green colour at a car meeting here in Sweden last summer. Engine sound to die for.

Every five years or so I get the urge to buy a Rothmans Porsche 911 to recreate the moment when, during the school holidays, I was riding my bike round the perimeter track at Silverstone when suddenly Henri Toivonen appeared. Sideways. Around the back of the Stowe grandstand. In pre-Prodrive days, Dave Richards Motorsport was based at Silverstone, y'see... and nobody really minded if a bit of a shakedown was required.

Here's the real McCoy in action...

Last time I got the SCX version but this little Ninco was going very cheap from Spain on the auction site... drastic postage, so no other bidders and it came out as about half what you'd expect to pay for a good 'un.

I was glad it was quite cheap. Previous owner obviously had it out on display, presumably next to a window where the Spanish sun beat down upon it. It also had a strong scent of Ducados permeating the plastic. In short: it the white bits were all Jersey cream colour thanks to baked-in dust and nicotine.

Amazing what you can do with biological washing powder, a soft cloth and a lot of rubbing. I also changed the rear wheelss for the Ninco BBS type, painted white. More often than not these were what the 1:1 car had on.

Consider me rather chuffed.

I've got 5 Ninco Porsche 911/934s, I like mine with the front tyres on the back wheels, the thinnest tyres I can find on the fronts (MSC Metro tyres in my case) and about 5 grammes of weight just in front of the motor.

After 6 months of development i have finally managed to complete my first Skoda Fabia S2000.

The car is in resin - made from a master mould, vac formed windows and front lights, photo etched detail on the rear wing end plates, decals designed and printed by me, chassis, interior, running gear from a donor SCX Fabia WRC (chopped) along with the windscreen wipers etc.

About ten other liveries planned.
