question.gif Leads? Is it one of these lap counters? Linkey. or Linkey? Is it Scalextric? Or is it another make? Because if it's one of the ones in the links there shouldn't be any visible leads. thumbsup.gif

I love these, I have two doing 4 lanes. The track piece is essential and is special. On the left rail there is a cut with a seperate blade stuck through. When a car passes over it it shorts to the rail and gives a pulse that drives the lapcounter. No good without the track I'm sorry to say...

Hi,

Managed to figure it out...

Two screw terminals on the back of the building connect to the 12v supply doesn't matter about the polarity. The leads with the small spade terninals when connected to the negative power supply increment the counter for each lane. I'm hoping a small dead section of track that gets connected to -ve as the car passes will do the trick as I don't have the proper section of track.

Now off to find the dremel and the soldering iron....

The c273 was released in 1988, not the 60s.
Cheers.
