Hi
As long as your happy with your design and want to keep it for a while it is a big improvement. No more random powerdrops and tarnishing. thumbsup.gif

Hi Guys,

I have been searching for some copper tape to buy and it's not that easy to find. Especially when I need to know I am getting the right stuff with conductive backing. Can someone post a link to the Chinese eBay seller please?

Cheers,
Damo.

Hi Damo,

Just search for 6mm copper tape, then look for the best price for the amount you need. It's all the same stuff, I've bought a lot over the years & never from the same sellar.

Cheers
Paul

I used the ebayer super-seller01

It took about 2 weeks to arrive. This is the second time I have used this seller - delivery was about 2 weeks each time.

Hi
That's also the one I used, not that it helps that much but you should be able to see if there is evidence of postage from China.

Had mine for over 12months so not used the seller for a while.

Thanks guys, I just ordered some from super-seller01 and look forward to seeing it. I am going to lay it over my racing line chicanes I just finished to make sure they are smooth. I'll do some experimenting with it and will probably use it over my entire circuit when I finish it. I like the idea of smoothing out the clickety-clack of the rail joins. I have got to say, I am astounded at the cool slot accesories you can pick up from Asia at such a cheap price. I have just ordered LED's and resistors and now this and it costs peanuts.

Cheers,
Damo.

I'm not sure the copper tape will completely eradicate the clickety clack - the tape is very thin. You may want to experiment putting some form of filler into the joins before laying the tape over the top. Worth trying on spare track if you have any.
