Hi Gents,

I have only been using SSDC for a couple of weeks and have been very impressed with it. I updated to V5.4.1.0 today but the ANALOGUE button does not appear.

Went back to V 5.4.0.0 and I have the ANALOGUE button back. Has the function been removed from 5.4.1.0 or is it selected somewhere other than the button at the top as in 5.4.0.0.

I have the C7042 PB (Build01.009) and a laptop running XP.

Look in the pull down menu under the chequered flag. It's just moved.

Didn't expect an answer so quick as I am in Australia.

Thanks. Your hard work is much appreciated and adds a new dimension to slot car racing. I used to race as a kid and now at 54 I am off again with renewed enthusiasm.

I have another newbie question though. When I try to set up fuel usage, I select refuel after 0.5 seconds of zero throttle. I stop the car but nothing happens.

I don't have a pit lane so I am assuming that the function only works with a pit lane. Is that correct??

Lance, you old git. I'm only 52!

I spent quite a bit of time setting up fuel burns so all our regular gang would meet two full fill ups and a splash and dash 2 or 3 laps from the end of the 30 laps.

I'm testing 5.4.1 and 1.09 this afternoon ready for coming Wednesday's boys night, so will report back if it has changed. I'll also test the various power settings to see if Lance's question is answered.

I searched and the responses didn't seem all that clear.

When running SSDC 5 and you need to programme a new car, how do you do it?

The response I read said about free practice, press enter and the car will be programmed.

That obviously won't work because if 4 controllers are plugged in, how will it know which controller to ID the car to.

The questions are then:
Does the free practice button need to be clicked so the icon is 'pressed' or does it need to be in the clicked position?
When you press enter, do you then press the brake button to ID a car to a controller and then it will work?
Do I need to drive the car over the start finish line to ID it properly?

Thanks, feeling like a bit of a moron though as I was looking through the SSDC user guide PDF and there wasn't anything in there.

Might be worth an addition in the future?

*Note, read the FAQ's and the guides*

Don't beat yourself up too much as that appeared after the manual was written; it is due for a major overhaul.

For Snurfen: Growing old is compulsory, growing up is not.

Sorry if my replies are a bit late but there is quite a time diffence.

Oh saw this topic too late. I just added a topic because my refuelling does not work either since upgrading ssdc. Maybe we miss something in the settings

Tested refuelling and it is working. Went back and checked the manual and there it is "stop the car, press and hold lane change, no brake".

Just goes to show you "If all else fails, read the instructions".

Thanks for the help.

This is a fntastic program. Many thanks to the developer(s) and everyone else who helped to get it where it is today.

Lance.

Well, got the refueling sorted but now I can't get pace cars to run. I'm sure I have done everything correctly. I've cleared and re-recorded the data, tried variable throttle check and unchecked. Tried running pace cars in freeplay. Nothing.

They just sit there on the grid.

The non pace cars run fine in the same race but the pace cars do nothing????????????

Re-installed 5.4.0.0 and the pace cars work fine.

Installed 5.4.1.0 again - no pace cars movement at all. Tried starting a new profile - no luck. Also, don't seem to be able to record any pace car throttle data. Nothing comes up in the Pace Car Editor.

Went back to old profile still nothing but my old pace car throttle data is visible in the pace car editor.

Is there another setting that has been added or moved??

Hi Lance,

Have you watched the video tutorials on the web-site? They are really clear and helpful. Two things that are easily forgotten is that you need to remove the throttle and you also need to click the 'enable pace cars in free practice' button if you are in free practice.

It is a great programme - and sicne we upgraded to v.1.09 we haven't noticed any missed laps. Need to start saving up now for some wireless hand-throttles!

David
