 Mazda 787B Face-off I picked up two Mazdas at the UK Slot Festival. The Slot.it Renown Mazda 787B #202 UK Slot Car Festival 2012 in Red, blue and silver; and the MrSlotcar Renown Mazda 787B LeMans 1991 #55. Both were signed. Ernie Mossetti, MrSlotcar himself (below left) and Maurizio Ferrari, talking to Salvatore Noviello of NSR (below right). Maurizio Gibertoni co-founder of Slot.it also signed the Slot.it car.   Here are more photos of these wonderful cars:                 I had asked the Slot.it team back in Italy to sign the box of a couple of the Slot.it Mazdas and they kindly did so before the two Mauzizios left for the festival. We will be auctioning off one of these cars for charity soon. More on that later.

 East Devon Slot Club setting up for the Manufacturers' Race.  The NSR team setting up for the Manufacturers' Race.  Salvatore & Giovani of NSR preparing their car for the Manufacturers' Race.  Gareth and his SlotRally GB guys setting up and having a final briefing before the public arrive.  BSCRA track getting warmed up.  Ernie Mossetti of MrSlotcar signing his products.  Derek Cooper starting off the day with a few quick sales. He was looking good after his recent stay in hospital.  David Jessett of Slot Track Scenics showing off his new pitwalls and selling quite a few too by the look of it.  These Slot Track Scenics pitwalls fit perfectly in the space provided by a single Scalextric pit track and the race track.  The certainly look good. The team managers control stands are coming soon.  Ian (bleep) keeping his cool and managing his NSR team.  Scalextric 4 Schools were showing off some cars on the drag strip. Tim Brotherhood, education programme manager for PTC will be showing us more of the project soon.  Manufacturers' Race about to start.  Under starters orders.  Marc Abbot (abbo) and Ric Woods (Mooster) of Slot Car Mag. The complimentary magazine given out to every visitor was a hit. Download it if you didn't get a copy.  Maurizio Gibertoni of Slot.it.  Maurizio Ferrari of Slot.it  Manufacturers' Race continues at a good pace.  Kids getting involved with the SlotRallyGB tracks.  Kids on the BSCRA track too. Listen to the Radio 4 interview with one of them.  Salvatore and Maurizio sharing a joke.  The winning Avant Slot car. So what does make it the fastest?  The winning Avant Slot car.  The Manufacturers' Race cars in finish order - right to left: Avant Slot, NSR, Slot.it, MrSlotcar, Scaleauto, SCX, Ninco & Scalextric.  The table at the end of the race.  The Avant Slot team of drivers lifting their winning trophy. Well done to them.  |
