I think that was probably the best turnout for this class so far!
Well done to Josh for the win on what was a close run thing, I was robbed of victory in my last race by a stray bit of body work stuck in my lane.
There seemed to be a lot of that sort of thing lying about on the track last night.
By the way, whats a lanica? huh.gif

Maybe this should be a club decision with a vote or something like that .

Well there are two perfectly capable cars for sale in the form of the alfa and the ferrari , The club as far as i am aware has already come to the decision that nsr cars will NOT be introduced.

Ask tonight , i dont see why it should even be discussed , the class is SLOT IT classics and there is no reason to introduce the new cars, if they turn out to be faster it will cost others a lot more money to then go and buy these just to keep up, why can you not just get a slot it classic?

I wondered when this would rear it's ugly head again!
I don't think it's going to go without a fight. A bit like a floater really. blink.gif

Can you bring it up at the next comittee meeting Julian or suggest that we have a vote on it.
2 car class needs spicing up, i know a few people have them [NSR] and would probably like to race them.
The SLOT IT Chaparral looks good from what Phils one was doing last week.. however there seems to be a problem obtaining them now
and the new SLOT IT GT40 wont be out for ages.
The last time someone used an NSR in CLASSIC it wasnt any better or worse than slot it cars (Josh with Julians 917).
Also given in SUPER GT everyone now uses SLOT-IT I'd say that the speed advantage that NSR cars had in general over SLOT IT is now minimal or non existant.
cheers
Peter

I will have a word with the rest of the commitee tonight!
Personally I have to say I agree with you on this one Peter. Having built and driven an NSR 917, I couldn't get within 3 tenths of the Slot.it Alfa, so the use of NSR is never going to be an advantage really.
The problem with them seems to be a very soft jelly like chassis and a much slower motor.
I don't think adding them to the class is a big issue, the more diversity the better in my opinion!
