We race predominantly 1/32nd scalextric type cars in various classes and some 1/24th hardbody cars, all with very simple rules.

Hi guys. I would like to thank you all for a great year at Hawthorne Park Slot Car Club. If you compare how the club was this time last year, you can see how far we have come. Many thanks to Nic Hirst for his help with the upgrades to the DS racing system. To Ruth Smart from Copper Braid Products for sponsoring us and providing us with excellent braid for our race teams. And finally to all of the club members who have helped organise our first open event race (Trans Am -1st October). We have set a date for the trans am in 2012 - 15th September. Full details will be released soon.
We hope to continue to grow in 2012 with some new developments... Watch this space!!!  Tonight saw the end of "normal racing" with a Christmas club rally night. The racing was fantastic! Full results will be uploaded soon. Next week, we plan to run a Christmas special with 4 people bringing cars and the car is allocated a lane (by a lane draw) and the driver changes lanes (and cars) after every heat...
