 what's the best music to listen to while building slot cars??, just as the title says ! |

Club info:
Timaru is one of the oldest slot racing clubs in the country, celebrating its fiftieth anniversay during 2009, now based in Broadstairs in Kent.

Timaru has always catered for scratch builders, even from the earliest days when some members were employees at the then nearby Hornby Models factory. Today we run classes to the British Slot Car Racing Association rules (BSCRA) at both 1/32 and 1/24 scale, but with an emphasis on Falcon powered cars for not only Production but also F1 and 1/24 classes.
We meet on Thursday Evenings from approximately 7.30 p.m. onwards. Visitors welcome. Spare cars and controllers always available, so come and have a go!

I seam to end up with fleetwood mac when building d3 canam,s ! and ELO / kraftwerk for production. I know gladys are club char woman has a fine collection of early punk !!.
Am i the only person playing 60s/70s/80s music at 3am while trying to solder with a soldering iron that i turned off 2 hours earlier !!!!. Can any one reccomend some good music for building F 1's too ?. |

Hi, about music Iam stuk in the 80,s hard rock,Heavy Metal music, so, ACDC,Iron Maiden,Deep purple, Led Zeppellin,Pink Floyd ,The Who, and more of these headbanging bands, will do it for me, My all time favorit is Let there be Rock, ( with Bon Scott on vocals!)from ACDC -------------------- Dont wake the lion!

i ve been trying to forget bob the builder, he forgot me so i think thats fair. A quick list of slot car related songs and groups, any thing by THE CARS, BEND ME SHAPE ME by AMEN CORNOR, THE RACE by YELLO, OPTICAL RACE by TANGERINE DREAM. There must be many more, i will have look in the loft for my record collection. bill |

well , Metallic Blue, from house of lords, is also a nice one to hear,,, Iam allways listen,to Planet rock,a UK radiostation, ( webradio), for me its the ultimate radiostation, Iam glad they do have a webradio!, it reminds me to my teenagetime,( great time!), -------------------- Dont wake the lion!
