Anyone paying a visit to GetSlotted and reading Matt's excellent monthly column will notice he's heard that another company are rumored to be releasing a Toyota GT-One. Great news for most of us I'm sure, as the ProSlot ones can be hard to come by, broken as standard and have a hideous interior.

Interesting news, and Matt says his money is on Spirit. Half of me hopes it is (performance, looks) and half of me hopes otherwise (cost, cost). Anyone have any more hints, and who do you think (or wish) the manufacturer is?

Oh, I hope it isn't Spirit. There performance first, looks last philospohy is not to my taste. I'd still have to buy it of course, but I'd far rather it was Fly or, better still, Slot.it. Then again, after the Maserati I wouldn't mind it being Scalextric either.

Looking at SCI's toyfair galleries, it seems MRRC have taken the moulds over. The chassis will be improved/upgraded as well. I think they have done a similar deal with Proteus and will re-release the Lamborghini with a wing as per the racing version. Oh,and a police version as well........

TED...

I think that the Toyota GT1 is the meanest, most purposeful looking LeMans car ever!

I have been gently (and not so gently) poking and prodding Maruzio to do this car justice for many years now. So far he has managed to skirt the issue, but here's hoping. innocent.gif

I think that this would be a perfect car for Slot.it to build. I believe that they saw action against the Nissan 390 and the Audi R8C which coincidentally Slot.It have already produced.

Unfortunately I fear that MRRC is going to "plan" do them, sad.gif in which case we will never see them on store shelves, but hey, we can always dream... right.

There's this thread on SlotAdictos :

http://miarroba.com/foros/ver.php?foroid=2...&temaid=4266066

Which Spanish manufacturer will do it - and when - is not stated, but Reprotec are considered likely

After all, their second edition of the Nissan is now a perfect Slot.it clone, so they are bound to copy... I mean to work on another car dry.gif

Possible Smoking Gun Photo from the Nurenberg Toy Show?

Photo's courtesy of Alan Smith at SCI biggrin.gif

The old Pro-Slot Toyota GT1 is sitting a mere foot away from the Reprotec Nissan R390 (which I had never heard of before?)

The story I got was that this Toyota was on display because MRRC is planning on making a replacement chassis for this Pro-Slot body.

Sounds fishy to me. question.gif

I think this one looks better.

That doesn't look like a ProSlot body in the MRRC catalogue to me, check the mirrors and lack of windscreen wiper. COuld be any old picture of course innocent.gif

Well, please cease and desist from doing so!! I would much rather Slot-it concentrated their efforts on doing a car not available in 1/32 RTR before, such as the Group C?? Toyota from the early nineties. I don't know the model name, 88CV rings a bell, but Tomy AFX did them in HO, including a Minolta livery I think. Very nice looking car, even though I'm no great fan of prototypes!

My pro slot version is still one of my best cars to drive, only equalled by the Slot Its! but it does need work to make it look right.
