A pair of Fly Ferrari's,if im not mistaken. The yellow version should be the better one,as its the Racing one with all the good bits. Floating suspension motor pod, large boxxer style motor, lightweight interior yada yada. I like em anyway huh.gif . My two pence.

Yes I agree. But later today we will see which is the fastest around 'OUR' track
The non racing F40 (RED) holds the record at the moment See here for it's time.
Will post results later today. Will be using PaulG's and Ortmanns on the rear of the Yellow Racing F40. Just to see which tyres are best suited for this car.

Lovely cars I would love to know which tyres go the best, I have Paul G's on mine and slightly disappointed. I know Dave has wider tyres than mine on his and it sticks like glue.

The Results are in. Very surprised with them.
I ran an old car around for about 20 laps just to clean it up first.
One thing I have just thought of. Should have included the Original Fly tyres that came with the kit. May do that later.

Dave, what were the tyres you gave me at the last meet? They came off a yellow car, maybe a Porsche.

It got to a point where I started to push more than was needed and times started to go up. Tail hanging out and cars stopping at right angles to slot, that sort of thing. No fall off.

Both Ferraris stayed glued to the track, very impressed with that, as you know what I'm like. On,, off. neither fell off at all.
The Orts were faster before I trued them, when they were new. ??? That must be down to me. But I did give all the tyres a blast over some P80 before I started the tests.
So, what's your impression?

A bit more detail HERE

With the std tyres

Std tyres fitted to the non racing RED F40 is a no go. It's a sidewinder and the tyre is too low a profile for the car to run. So the time shown is just a guide, 2 laps. I could have got it down, but the gear was make too much noise as to dug a grove around the track.

Oh, that's where the tyres I LEANT you last week went!
They are Ortmans, but probably a couple of years old now. Still a few miles left in them before I have to put my short arms into my long pockets yet.

OK, so IOU £3 so you have no need to dig deep into them LONG pockets of yours.
Just goes to show. The older the tyres become, the better they perform. (up to a point that is).
