Due to a slight problem with the computer the original plans for the first round of the Le Mans class gave way to a bit of improvised crash & burn racing.

Section won was four races per person with points scored : 5 for a win, 3 for 2nd, 2 for 3rd, 1 for 4th / DNF.

Phil F 20
Chris 18
Russ 18
Ben 16
Steve 14
Mike 13
Time 9
Reece 8
Phil B 8
Seb 8
Keith 7
Martyn 6
Matt 4
Matt 2 4
Dai 4
Alan 4
Andy to late to start

F Final:
Dai
Andy
Alan
Matt 2

E Final:
Matt
Dai
Andy
Alan

D Final
Keith
Matt
Martyn
Seb

C Final
Keith
Phil B
Tim
Reece

B Final
Ben
Keith
Steve
Mike

A Final
Phil F
Chris
Ben
Russ

Another win for Mr F! Great race by Dai in the first final - a well deserved win. Russell gets the prize for the shortest race - you managed to make Ben's race finish on the first corner as well but I suspect you had others in your site as well!
Hopefully all will be well with the PC for next time

Cheers,

Keith

Thanks to Keith for sorting out the races and positions at such short notice. Thanks also to Martyn and Dai for pulling all the computers apart, I`m fully confident that they`ll get all the bits in one working unit ready to test next thursday, no pressure lads biggrin.gif

The crash and burn made a nice change from our usual format and was a damn site easier to mashal thumbsup.gif

Cheers - Phil cat.gif

That was a fun night, but very confusing - I think I just did what I was told by the MC/ race director! Well done Keith .
I thought my son's grand entry for his delayed first heat was well received, bless him.

I think we can get the pcs up and running again, but will have to suspend work this evening - the oxyacetylene has run out again. Could try an angle grinder, but that would put a lot of dust in the pc so we'll quite literally "hang fire".

Fancy James May almost turning up for our club night !

I think he`s ok in a straight line but he has a problem turning corners!

Anyway Chris will chat with him and we`ll see what develops.
