Well then, that was a good day yesterday, well done to Kev on a well run day and also well done on the new club house very nice mate. Of course congratulations go to Graeme who is now officially "The Duke" and to G.T who are now officially the best club in the universe ever. On the whole i think year one ran pretty well, i know there are one or two things that need looking at rules wise but nothing major and certainly nothing that cant be sorted out before year two comes around, in my opinion the main thing was to have a seies that was run in the right spirit and it was certainly that, well done all, thumbsup.gif. There where a few drives yesterday that warrant a mention here, first off Jaik, he was on it all day and it was pretty rough watching it all unravel like that in the quarter finals, sadly these things happen from time to time as Graeme and i will testify with our retirements in the semis but he will win something soon, of that i have no doubt. Roger was very quick and very tidy all day long, a worthy winner, Kev was also bang on the pace, it was nice to see Ryan make the cut off and get into the quarters, he has been at every round afterall so well done mate. Fred did well to make the A final as did Jamie. I think with hindsight the Mosler was probably the car to have but my Zytek was pretty good straight out of the box, my only problem was getting grip to last the whole race, it was ok for 2/3rds but then it just went and that was why i bailed in the semi, there was no point in taking someone else out as i slipped and slid about, very dissapointing as i was in the lead when my tyres became shite but as i said before these things happen, indeed the same thing happened to Fred in the A. Overall then a very good series, i was happy to come third, maybe could have done better but happy none the less, (nice trophies by the way Graeme) heres to next year then, maybe get another club involved? again well done to all who made this happen, Chris.

C_B,

If the Jamie referred to above is Jamie Kelly then that would seem to indicate there would be a chance to extrapolate that into MBR being the fourth club next year?

see you Friday? I will be there, not sure about the BT49 censored.gif grump.gif censored.gif help.gif censored.gif grump.gif censored.gif

I would just like to add to what Chris has said and thank everone involved in what has become a very successfull series. The big "winner" in all of this is EARL and long may it continue. For a fledgling event, attendance has been in the low 20's at every round.
Many from my club have realised that there is more to racing than just "monday night" and that competition at ,and with ,other clubs can be held in a friendly atmosphere.
The racing has been great, venues have been good and the food and "cooks" excellent clap.gif clap.gif . There are,as would be expected,a few minor alterations needed to the rules and this would clear up any misunderstandings. I for one have no idea how the scoring is worked out!
Commiserations to all (especially Jaik) who suffered mechanical failure in the finals yesterday. I was begining to suspect sabotage yikes.gif
Here's to next time then.
PS:i hpe that i haven't used any BIG words that readers may not be able to understand rolleyes.gif

Yes, I enjoyed the day too and all our members said they really enjoyed it too and can`t wait for the next time!
Maybe for next year it would be a good idea to stage the final round at Tendring taking into account the extra time taken scoring and trophy presentation ceremony and the travelling home would then be fairer for everyone.
Thank you for everyone who attended especially John Kelly who made an early start then got mullered by the Moslers and Steve J for taking all the photos which will be posted shortly. Also special thanks to Graeme, brilliant job with the trophies.
Really looking forward to next time.

Just a thought, if next year does have 2 rounds at each venue what about one round Sports GT and one Touring Cars. It would produce a variation of cars and rounds can be staged on Saturdays or Sundays to aviod clashes with other meetings and scattered throughout the year.It was over very quickly and people can`t wait for next year.Another club would be good too.
Also how about a box standard Nascar Challenge for later in the year? we all have several skilled racers and close racing would be good.
