It's an ISO pivot. The front wheels and axle carry no weight and flop on that sleeve.

Hi Stoner and Jairus - these are Iso Fulcrum cars , hope it helps ! --- Left is the La Cucaracha by Cox (USA ) , and right is the Mini Can Am by Mini Dream Car (Italy ) .
Apart from those in the original Thingie cars of the late 60s - I think the only other is the Super Cuc - but it has running gear the same as the original Cuc pictured. Zig

Zig, I believe it was the metamorphosis of Riggen into the late 60's possibly because of the success of the Cox Cuc.

....or maybe just a passing fad.

Nice bunch there Ray ! That chassis ,as is , wouldn't get too far on the track - haha ! But hinge concept is clever !!!!

Thanks Z , first time I've seen that chassis !

Must admit , the Iso Fulcrum chassis are lethal among the original cars ! The standard Cuc I have and the Mini Can Am , are 2 of my best performing cars ! For a small track , the Dynamic Bandit is hard to beat ! I am talking original stock cars ! Would be interesting to hear other views out there on how the original cars perform . Zig

They are actually very common Zig and pop up on ebay very often but, are also very pricey just like the Cox Iso's. Now that my track is almost ready to go, I plan to test some of these old gems just to see what the attraction is.
(and of course for the fun of it)
