I would just like to send the best of Luck to the Pendle Slot Racing team (made up of the best drivers in the Slot.it Challenge in the UK) clap.gif clap.gif .

All the best to, Nick Hirst (Pendle), Neil Hirst, UK 2006 Slot.it Challenge Winner, (Pendle), Lee Andrews (Slot-Manics), James Hunt (Pinewood), Steve Hills (Pinewood) and the defending 2007 UK Slot.it Challenge winner, Shaun Mitchell (North Staffs) clap.gif clap.gif .

James and Steve where working hard on the car(s) Thursday night at Pinewood (I won't give any secrets away innocent.gif ), can't wait to see what they look like after Gecal's has added the decals to the Body shell(s) dribble.gif .

Again guys all the best of luck, just wear yourselfs out so your un-fit to race at Llantrisant on the 27th July lmfao.gif lmfao.gif .

Regards, Paul Charlton.

Cheers Paul,
I have a feeling we might get spanked - the Italians and Spanish are a bit rapid on Ninco track from all accounts.
But we'll do what we can - and enjoy it.

Steve - have you built the car yet? Or was Shaun doing it??

Anyone else on here from Italy or Spain, Belgium or Switzerland going to be at the Race??

Good luck for the race guys,

You'll need it.

I did igualada with Swiss a few years back and was amazed at the professionalism of some of the other teams.

And at the amount of resources they throw at the event, both equipment and people.

Don't forget your inflatable shelter to sleep in. I kid you not.

This is going to be a serious race.

Have your driver and marshall schedule pre designed so the team know what they are doing.

Don't worry about truing tyres ninco track will do that in the first few laps.

It's not outright pace that will win it's consistent times and keeping it on the island.

Tyre wear becomes an issue is you slide round the corners, so try and keep it straight

Cheers

Cheers BSN,
Useful advice - we'll keep it in mind. Mind you - surely you only need a shelter if you're planning to sleep??? ohmy.gif

I've had several of the works computers running different driver/marshalling models for a couple of weeks now.....
all eventualities covered!!

eek .. I think maybe I should just spectate after all. This is too much detail and work for the likes of me. tongue.gif

We'll put every effort into holding the UK flag as proudly aloft as possible.

cheers,
Steve

Jesus, was it really 4 years ago mr BSN? I have done a couple of others since then, I guess I never learn smile.gif

I am thinking of a quick blast down on Sunday if the weather is good, couldn't miss the chance of snatching a couple of pics of the teams after an all night stress sess' could I? wink.gif

I covered Verbano also a few years back, a great show, fantastic organisation and a superb track with the back drop of the Italian lakes in the background. What more could you ask?

Will be good to see a couple of you again and meet some others, I will bring the chocolate.

GOOD LUCK!

Hi All,
Just like to add my 'luck' to the guys as well. Hope you put up a good show, there is certainly some racing talent in our GB team.
Just lay off the local vino, and you will be fine!
Cheers Bill.

Well flying the flag will be the main thing, and you cannot do any worse than we did!

Good luck to you all.
