Many items of interest this year from Slot.it, not least the modular controller that can be made to work on Analogue or Digital (at the moment only SSD).

The unit looks, at first sight, to be a little large and ungainly but once in the hand all becomes clear....

The unit is feather light, sits easily in the hand and has a trigger control that is light and smooth yet precise to use. The multi buttons were not all functional yet but adjustable brakes and sensitivity seemed excellent with plenty of response range. The button for the lane change worked fine all the time and is well situated for a right hand person, I am not sure if there will be a left handed version I forgot to ask sorry!
The modular, changeable part is at lower half of the grip itself.

Onto the cars and boy is everyone catered for this year!

We have more liveries of the Porsche 956 and 962, plus a hightail version. Unlike some Companies, when the livery calls for slight body modification - we get it smile.gif

The Sauber gets a new livery shortly too and the AEG one will follow later in the year. Just look at those tyres!...

Preview pics of the upcoming McLaren F1 GTR are here, still in pre-stage it still manages to look stunning...

Then there is the Lancia, ever closer to our grubby mits!..

and last but not least, this was a great little suprise package for us, although thanks to Edos' scoop we were at least forewarned to look out for it.
The Slot.It version of the Ferrari 312PB, to be released in a kit version as opposed to RTR in order to by pass some licensing issues...

Before you ask - NO news on the 512 also mentioned on that book cover! smile.gif

It is going to be another tough year on the wallet I can see.

Very neat additions to the Slot.it range. The Controller is a great idea, being for both Analogue and Digital use.
The Jagermeister Porsche is superb, I love the front spoiler, very neat touch.
Shame the tyre decals on the Sauber will be lost when Ortman's are retrofitted...

Slot.it are THE number one Company in my books.

Regards

Alan

nice stuff comin' this year and even more in 2007 *g*

m8 - is the motor hood of the sauber still a single part on the final version? and is it the picture that makes the color lighter than it was in reality or is it done this way?

And thxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx a lot for the Bellof Shorttail 956!!!!!!!!!! Love it, love it! Hope that Maurizio will do the Rothmann's too!!!

Stefan, yes I think it is still sperate but not 100% sure, I will ask.
The lighting at the show was really bad but the colour of the Sauber in daylight looks spot on.

As I flicked through the pictures, I saw the controller thought I like that ( which means I WANT ONE) then the Porsche well I have a perticular soft-spot for Jagermeister paint jobs (Must Have some Dutch Blood).

These are very nice I can see my Slotit Stable Growing!

Thanks Swiss

I'm sorry Alan - it's me again *lol*

I was just readin' my new book about the short life of Stefan Bellof and I came across some images of that lovely shorttail 956 in "Jägermeister" livery.
could you be so kind and ask Maurizio if there's a shorttail version without the front wing being planed?
I only noticed the wing on the car that won Imola with Stuck/Bellof.
or is it, maybe, removeable?

Thanks in advance

As mentioned before by swissracer, the tyres on the Kouros merc do look pretty, but I wonder how long they will stay pretty. A few scrapes along the barriers and they're scuffed.
Has Maurizio got a trick up his sleeve ?

If the Rothmans Porsche is the one that Bellof got killed in at Spa. Then Maurizio said they're not going to make it.

Hi.

In fact the first car we'll make is the Imola winner Stuck/Bellof n.19 with the front wing, because
1 - they won the race
2 - they had the front wing which is very cool

we can use the front wing or not depending on the chosen model.

BTW it should not be called a short tail but 'high downforce' as it is exactly as long as the other, 'low downforce' version we made so far. At least this is what Norbert Singer, designer of the 956, says - I think he knows it :-)

Kind regards

Maurizio

I am about to take the plunge and fix all of my SSD controllers. They are all in the 4.35-4.40 range. I want to boost them to over the 5 range. I was just thinking though, I'd rather pick up the new Slot.it Controller shown above. Does anyone have any idea when it may be released? It looks very beta so I am afraid it may be many months. If that's the case then I'll do the conversion on the original ssd controllers.
Thanks

Release date for Slot.it -The Controller is??

Yes, it will be a few months.
It already works very well (I've been racing the last two races I did this past month with the prototype, and I am going to keep racing with it 'cause I like it) but it will take some time to reach the shelves.

Kind regards
