Slot Diversion.
Who likes cars and trains? Who would like to have slotcars on a train layout? SlotCars in HO scale!!! Check it out: Faller Go-Kart race track ![]() 'Sinuous' two-lane kart track. Hand controllers (thumb) allow you to get involved and do some racing. ![]() Further vehicles are available and buildings are supplied to match. ![]() The circuit is about 42cm x 30cm. It runs on 16V DC current. I do believe that the price was about 150 Euros for the whole thing.

The top two pictures were of a set built within a metal suitcase! easy for those long train or car journeys to keep the kids happy in the back
The last two were a scenic layout and struck me as fantastic to have in the middle of a 1/24 layout - complete with two full 1/24 figures adapted so they are holding R/C controllers! -------------------- QUOTE " Life isn't about how many breaths you take, it is about how many moments take your breath away." |

Nuro;
the Faller set seems like a present day version of Lewis Galoobs Micro Machines "Race-in-a-Case" sets from the 1980s. A layout of 42x30 cm is even smaller than the Galoob MM sets. Any chance of seeing more pics of the set, including the case? And what is the size of the Faller Go-Karts compared to MMs? |

Interesting concept here.
Does anybody have that highly detailed a 1:24 layout? Maybe it would look good next to Edo's open air Ducati museum ... I remember Herpa, or somebody, used to have an HO system with battery powered trucks that were steered around a slot-less track by a leading magnet following a metal wire buried beneath the road surface. Is that system still going? Regards, Lowrider. |

The whole thing is HO scale - 1:87.
I think the case was a bit of a gimick, the catalogue doesn't mention a case. The RRP of the Go-kart circuit is €159.00 Extra cars are €19.95 Race tower and pits - €19.95 Stands - €22.50 Rotunda café - €15.95 |

Try the catalogue - it is available online as an acrobat pdf file. In the catalogue there are several pictures and also all the surrounding buildings.
