The MRRC stand at Nuremburg was quite a cool place to hang out. There was always someone interesting to talk to these and with Marco from Racer just accross the isle, we found ourselves go back there quite a few times.

The big news was the Chaparral 2F Le Mans 1967

New for 2006 is the 2F #66 "Limited GSR Magazine car 2005", the 2F #4 "Nurburgring" and the 2F #7 & #8 "Le Mans '67" Special box set. The twin-set will be available first.

Other 2006 news was that of the Cheetah #64, Porsche 935 "JMS" Le Mans 1977, Lamborghini Murcielago "Players run 2004" #74 Yellow and Lamborghini Murcielago "Players run 2004" #9 Green and finally the Toyota Celica LB Turbo Gr.5 #60 blue.

This is the report I've been waiting for, (and I'm sure I'm not alone... biggrin.gif ).

Those Chappies look magnificent, the "must have" RTR car of the year IMHO.

Now how about the 2E, possibly the best looking Chappy of the lot.

Thanks guys for the report, you've made my day.....

Regards

Alan

If it's possible, could you give us more info on that chassis? Are those metal weights running along the sills?

why has one side got a clip at the back and not the other?

Thanks for all your effort Swiss.

So many of the prelaunch material for the 2F showed Targa Florio #222 in it. Any word if this will be part of the line?

Nuro will all these cars be out this year? Any release dates?

Other 2006 news was that of the Cheetah #64, Porsche 935 "JMS" Le Mans 1977, Lamborghini Murcielago "Players run 2004" #74 Yellow and Lamborghini Murcielago "Players run 2004" #9 Green and finally the Toyota Celica LB Turbo Gr.5 #60 blue.

Beejay7 I think they should make all the Chaparrals.

Rich T UK It looks like they are weights. And it looks like there are multiple weight on each side so u can run as many as you want or none at all. If you look one side is higher than the other. BTW is this the mystery TSFR chassis?

If it's possible, could you give us more info on that chassis? Are those metal weights running along the sills?

The chassis will be available as a stand alone unit for scratchbuilders or plain conversions.
The side pods are similar in design as the MRRC Clubman sysem in that they allow the addition of differing weights. The differences you can see above between each side are just showing a couple of options.
Everything but the Chappies are still on the 'to be released soon' list, including the Chappie Targa Florio '222' livery.
I got distracted when we were talking to John about this and thought Doug was taking mental notes, he thought the same of me smile.gif so our reporting is a tad sketchy regarding the MRRC line - SORRY! I will talk to John about it and get back to you.

Beppe - yes! we missed that!! Thank you smile.gif looks great, especially as I have a few GT1 bodies lying about pining for a decent chassis. Does that report say when it will be available?

Today I received from Sean a MRRC Chaparral. This is a preproduction car which is going in the Brookland museum display on Sunday.

I think this model really captures the shape of the real car very well and is a wonderful model which features all the vents, grills and other details I would expect on a much more expensive car.

This is the first under £30 car I have really wanted to own for a long time. I think that MRRC has done an outstanding job with this car and that the company will sell a huge number of these cars

Any idea when that beauty will hit the shelves?
