Carrera Toys is big. We were in Germany and Carrer were obliged to lay it on.

Their stand was big, there people where everywhere and their pit lane girls were giving the other slot manufacturers plenty of grief happy.gif

Next year we are expecting Scalextric to have some pit babes on their stand...

Yep, I did manage to have a word with them, but the photographer was shaking at the sight of the girls wink.gif

I managed to get a clearer shot of Swiss and Captain Carrera.

There were no hot-rods on display, rather there were a few cardboard cut-outs. There was the 1:1 car and the general feeling was that it was a really big thing about to radically change the slot market.

Fast and the Furious

Pre production development models

Just check out the details

The hot rods were also in evidence, but in resin pre-prod form

The Carrera figues range is developing. Pit lane babes are everywhere

And the atmosphere is electric

Carrera's message for 2006 is Vorsprung durch Technik und Qualität (Leading in Technology and Quality).

There were plenty of cars on show or promised (carboard cut outs). Here are some, if you would like to see more, please let me know and I'll look through what we have available.

Carrera Pro-X Digital was on display. Some nice new cars including Corvette C6 street and racing versions, some Mustangs and the promise of some digital hot-rods.

Some of their Digital cars

Carrera's Wireless devices are now compatible with their Pro-X digital system. The ones on display at the show weren't working that well... somthing about being in a metal building or being too close to Scalextric...

Hey just for the information MR Nuro...

I was not shaking because the girls were putting me off! I was still shaking with justifiable rage that you conned ME into posing with Captain damn Carrera and THEN you grabbed the babes for yourself wink.gif

Hey Swiss the girl in your photo with Mr Carrera was pretty cute. And I bet she knows more about slotcars.

Ok do we really need slotcars with spinners? I thought that lame fad had passed. I like the police Mustang. Some of the HotRods look cool but I wish they had gone with a more toned down type of HotRod. Less like the high end custom jobs built by Foose and Boyd.

I asked her for a photo, she replied: "We have other girls for that," I said that she was just fine - and she did know a thing or two about slotcars. Don't know exactly what Captain Carrera is doing to Allan's ear... wacko.gif

A word on Spinners and Neons under the car - As a Corvette guy, I'd say no real Corvette fan would have spinners or neons on their car. I have seen it in 1:1, but it was ridiculed but the other owners. Corvettes are all about horse power and drivability!
