Hi everybody,
It is a big pleasure for me, you not only enjoy the pictures, but also get use about them for building your own track. Here are the overview pictures. Clockwise, between picture 1 and 4, you can enter the open circle, which is the shape of the table. rallyhub ![]() The snow section. ![]() The longest section. ![]() The longest section in the other direction, clockwise of the first picture. ![]() The corkscrew, with some kind of snow. |

Hi slicknick,
Thanks for the compliments. The mdf is about 8mm thick, the same as the track is. The sharp edges are rounded with some sand paper, before painting. Use a paint, that does not gleam too much, otherwise you will have less grip. Wall paint is perfect. On my wall painted snowy areas, I got more grip than elsewhere. It is also important that the level of the track is about 1mm or less higher than the border. I placed some strips of pasteboard under the track to get it right. In this way, the cars can drift easy, without stucking on the edge of the border. I hope this helps you. rallyhub ![]() Drifting on the rounded border edge. Hi Rallyhub!
After seeing these pics I've decided to include some snow on the high ground of my circuit. Was wondering how you got the snow effect on your trees? it's very realistic! |

My sincere congratulations. Your track is very beautiful and inspirational so i may use some of your ideas in my permanent track. One or two qustions: How is the lenght track and what kind of ink you use to paint the road, because iīd like to pain mine, not in white but in gray scale. And the light secnery how was made?

Hi everybody,
Many thanks, you like the track. To get a snowy effect, I used wall paint. I rolled it in thin layers. Santa snow is also an option, but I was afraid it will get yellow after some time in the sunlight. The snow on the trees is the same wall paint, but now wiped with a pencil from the top to the bottom of the trees. I hope I have helped you, rallyhub ![]() Sometimes, snowy conditions are tricky. ![]() 2 Scalextric Escorts sliding over the snow covered road. |

Hi R42,
Tanks, you like it. I have no track plan, but on the pictures, I hope you can see what it is all about. Here are 2 other pictures. I tried to built the 4 seasons on the track. So, snow is a must. rallyhub ![]() Sliding on the snow with the Scalextric Skoda Fabia WRC ![]() Some snow on the road in this very long right hander. |

This is one of the most inspirational pieces of art Iīve seen on this site. A very good use of the room at hand and well thought out trackplan and balance in track versus landscape .. The latter [and the realism of it] the reason calling this ART! Four seasons, eh? Stunning.
And man .. Iīm envious on all that space .. As for realism, it takes maybe a few rallies for the cameracrew in that last picture to realise .. NEVER stand in an outside of curve in case you donīt have --A life ensurance, a headgear/crash helmet, protective eyewear, dustproof equipment cover [and so on and so on ..] A slip of the [wrong] foot and itīs Ford = 0 .. camera crew -3 [R.I.P.]! And also, stray stones fly a far, even on asphalt [I knoooow itīs only plastic! .. ] -( R )- -------------------- |
