Put you off the GTAm ? why, what did I say lol.
I thought you already had one actually smile.gif

I noticed you mention on your Blog about the lack of lights on your skoda on analogue, I have the same thing with the escort, lights are wired to the pickups (were the white connector plugs onto the chip) and they work fine on digital, but dont seem to work on anologue now .... its not a big prob as i run digital all the while, just an oddity I noticed during testing, did you ever sort yours ?

Savage,

It was just the lack of room for fitting the chip, I'm not so keen on the F1 chip prefering the Saloon, but the car does look really nice next to the Escort. (Which I have got and haven't chiped yet will do it soon honest!)

No I never looked to deep into the lights, it would maybe fixed with the RichG method of wiring the lights direct off the chip itself. I'm having trouble seeing these little fiddly things these days, (age thing, to much time spent on computers) so I'm not prepared to have ago, as long they work on the digital thats good enough for me.

Yeah I notice a lot of people prefer the saloon chip, I have chipped around 16 cars, most of them have F1 chips and not had a problem yet (touches wood), but no light take off points on F1's wink.gif
I wouldnt like to solder to the board either TBH, its just weird why having a chip in place "breaks" the lights in analogue, but like I say no biggie for me smile.gif

My next cars, funds permitting, are going to be a Fly Ferrari 250GTO once released (probably another tight one to chip I suspect), and probably the SCX Aston DBR9 and Ferrari Modena 360, which hopefully have lots of room, not bought SCX yet so fingers crossed wink.gif

Now to the point SCX I have a few of these and yes you can order the saloon chip mine have all had room in them on saying that this one will probably be different! lmfao.gif lmfao.gif lmfao.gif

I just chipped the NSR Mosler Xavex with an F1 chip. No problem, lots of room there. It would suit a saloonchip comfortably. Resoldered the ferrite of the chip to the motor.
It runs smoothly. As far as I can tell, comparable to a Slot.it Sauber.

I've done a Fly SISU (standard motor and guide) - really fun to drive on SSD as you can really get the back out on the slippery sport track, but you will need borders to get the best out of it - they are very wide and wheels do come off on the inside of R1 (and R2 occasionally if you really push on a twisty section!) thumbsup.gif

Plenty of room for the saloon chip.... ohmy.gif

A couple of nice easy ones this time:

SCX Aston Martin DBR9, SCX Ferrari 360 Modena, Saloon car chip.

The chassis are very similar so one picture will do for both, drill a hole for the LED just behind the guide and fixed it and the chip with hotglue, bent the contact pins for the motor out of the way and soldered wires in smile.gif
The interior is a half depth tray so room a plenty biggrin.gif

Oh dear Tel,
you are going to be in trouble!!!! Only kidding I would have been tempted to put the "Ferrite man" in place of the standard capacitor See Rich telling me off post 290 this thread. He like to keep me in check.

They look a nice pair you'll have to tell us how they perform, you know I'm only jealous lmfao.gif

Well I do have some spare ones now wink.gif
TBH I thought about it, but thought the capacitor was the important suppression bit, its a Saloon board and a not particulary powerfull motor, so hopefully it will be fine, but I know what to do if problems ariise smile.gif

I gave a brief rundown of my thoughts on the cars here:
http://www.slotforum.com/forums/index.php?...16951&st=35

I did forget to mention the F360 needed a good amount of sideways slop in the front axle removing, the DBR9 just needed a light trim in that dept.
