The Ferrari F40 by Slot.it in prototype form, still with hand made windows, was shown during the 24hrs of Brussels.

For those that were not fortunate enough to take part to this race, which will be remembered for years to come due to the unbelievable outcome (1st and 2nd were 0.02" apart when they crossed the finish line after 24 hrs), the Ferrari F40 was seen again by a spy photographer again at Slot.it's demo track in Reggio Emilia smile.gif

The car is scheduled for Spring 2008.

Can't say the F40 has ever floated my boat, rung my bell, strangled my cat. You can't give Scalextric F40's away. Seems a strange choice to me.

But no doubt Slot It will make their usual brilliant stab at it and prove it to be a car everybody wants.

I'm currently in the process of customizing an old Scaley F40 and giving it a F40LM look... Will Slot-It be finished before me?

Well, I think the Slot-it looks the works! Much better than the old Scalextric...(and SCX, for that matter)! But why use that "chubby" driver for this car??? He looks really out of place.... Slot-it must be able to do better than that.... dry.gif

Anyways, looking very much forward to have my hands on one of these beasts smile.gif

Okay... The F40 isn't top of my charts even though I consider myself a fan of the Black Pony. I'm sure Maurizio has done a fantastic job with it, whenever it comes out.
What I want to know is when will we see the Alfa?

Nice paint job but those old Ferrari Scalextric wheels are the pits.

Why say spring 2008 - why not sometime over the next decade?
How many times must we sit there waiting for a car to be release 6 months after it was promised.

Sorry about being negative, and going on a rant, but I have got to the point of total frustration over release dates - still waiting for cars that were meant to be out June - July. I love slot.it cars (my absolute favourite) but they are one of the worst offenders.

I really like the F40 - please dont make us wait past spring.

Can you guess what this is:

Slot-It Lancia LC2 Martini # 4 SI-CA08c

Slot-It Mercedes C9 AEG SI-CA06d

Slot-It Nissan R390 # 30 white SI-CA05e

An order I placed on December 4th last year.

Looks like the order will have it's first anniversary before any of the cars arrive.

But who cares?

When they do come they are always great.

(Apart from the one Nissan, with offcentre wheels and crab chassis)

Regards,
Ewan.
