We have 5 people equipped to upgrade powerbases to PB-Pro

This can ONLY be done for 6 car powerbases.

At this point we are only upgrading powerbases that are version 1.5. This is because of the frailty of the previous versions.

Upgrades will only be undertaken on unmodified powerbases, unless with agreement of your upgrader.

For details of costs please PM the members below:

UK: AndyS or RikoRocket or RichG
Europe: RikoRocket or RichG
USA: TXSlotracer
Rest of World: Any of the above.

On top of this there is a Spanish version, with all the menu written in spanish. For this version PM RikoRocket.

Note: If you want the high power S-H board fitted as well then any version of 6 car powerbase can be used!

Hi Riko

I have a V12 PB that just sends the cars shooting down the track at full speed every time. All the car programming seems intact. Now, from reading though the numerous topics here, I am convinced that the mosfets are blown (funny, before joining here I thought mosfet was something to do with the Israeli Secret Police). If I am correct in this, and correct in thinking that the S-H board replaces the mosfets, can I not get this PB upgraded with the S-H board and be able to re-use it?

Yes Andy, that is correct. Or you could have the mosfets replaced, cheaper option.

So basically... go for the 1.5 version to be on the safe side?

Beyond this... I take it that it only needs the cable that RichG does for PC functionailty?

If you intend to upgrade to PB-Pro + S-H Power then buy the cheapest Powerbase you can find, don't worry about the version number, don't worry if it has blown mosfets. The mosfets and the program in the microcontroller are the only difference between versions, both of which are replaced by PB-Pro + S-H Power.

If you intend to keep the Powerbase in standard form or upgrade to PB-Pro then you need a 1.5 Powerbase.

Correct on the cable, all versions of Powerbase can be connected to a PC for Race Management. PB-Pro will however give more functionality both when and when not connected to a PC.

Sorry for another noob question (not long been getting into this and have been lurking for a while, lol)

This modification / upgrade needs the 6 car power base to work (obviously they're getting a bit thin on the ground)

Thanks much.

Yep. Look him up in the user list and send him a PM. He'll get back to you as soon as he can, but he's a busy guy sometimes so don't worry if it's a couple days. He'll give you all the info you need.
