I have not given up on the Alfas, It is easier to use a capri at the moment. I have to spend a bit of time on one to get it up to speed and time is limited at the moment.

I think the problem of chris's Alfa is the grip. Those blue ortmanns are just a shade less grippy than the originals that I think Al and I have on the other cars.

  4. Chris 17
  5. maggie 16
  6. Sue 15

Three in a row for Al. It looks like the rest are fighting for next best!

I used the MJk's tonight and was very impresssed with their performance. The BMW was also mighty. not a lot in it, a twist of fate and it could have been o so different rolleyes.gif

As usual it was good close racing again, the Beemer seems to be becoming the car of choice now, Fred and Mike using them to good effect, my Alfa was transformed by a switch to new tyres, if only i had put them on earlier, rolleyes.gif , never mind, there is always next round. As Fred said it looks like Al is away with this one, he has got the points in the bag and the rest of us are taking the points off one another, it has been a good class this one though, never a lot in it at the end of the night.

Just two tenths from finishing first in the heats........it would have made all the difference. In one race, teapot ended up on the floor, and it distracted me so much that I slowed down and also came out twice. It just goes to show.

The BMW seems more stable than the Alfa but I have not really spent time on one yet. That said, I may have to dust off the sillouette dribble.gif

when we started back in feb, a good lap time for a touring car was a high 6, and sports cars were doing low 6's now we have touring cars that need to do 5.9's to be competitive ohmy.gif To be honest I dont think we can get much more out of a Fly long can, no matter what chassis you use. So I would expect the next few rounds to be even closer wacko.gif if thats possible huh.gif Touring cars a very good level class
