Inte you do not have the slightest clue how Phoenix is run. One short visit to ours does not qualify you to make a comment like that. In fact the very first people you met at Phoenix, on the gate, were volunteers. I`ve just got in from running the club since 8.30 this morning, that`s a 16 hour day. If you have any volunteers that would be willing to put that kind of commitment into a club most days of the week then please send some over here. Thought not!

Nico, I could not agree with you more. At least get some experience on digital before making a decision guys? I`m keeping my powder dry but I`ve been stimulated by the reports from the guys using digital over the water. Unless you have raced Digital at a club you can`t honestly give a considered opinion can you?

Ooh, ooh, Mr Peevley! So much to respond to.

Totally true. A considered opinion we cannot give, if like me, you've only watched kids playing with the thing. Oh, er, of course they weren't actually bothering with lane changing. Oops! target market missing the point there then.

QUOTE
So clubs that don't switch to digital are less likely to be commercially minded and have to be subsidised or break even at best. Would that be a fair comment?

Fair comment? Of course not. First bit might be true but subsidized clubs?? Who? Where do I line up to get a grant?

QUOTE
You know what makes me really think (and that is the niceest way of expressing myself!!) is all those guys knowing so much about digital racing without ever having spend a minute on one of those tracks, not to speak of driving a race on one of the digital tracks.

Meow!

Oh, er, actually, like Jonny, he kinda has a point.

Note to me, try and stay away from Digital posts - I give that resolution about a week.

Now Wankel,
I found that too negative, even by your standards !! laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif

Leave aside their comments (with which I obviously wholeheartedly agree) : these are people who showed initiative, i.e. something that's sorely missing in the hobby today - IMHO they deserve respect just because of this

BTW Nico, I found you another Italian team for the past 24h - don't blame yourself, it just takes so much bloody time to change things !!

Ciao
Beppe
