Slot It challenge round 6 will take place on the 25th and 26th of October at Wolves.

Club Address
Wolverhampton Slot Car Club

Stryker's Bowling Alley, Shaw Road, (Just Off the A449) Wolverhampton, West Midlands, U.K.

Contacts:
Malcolm Scotto 07740717140

Directions
The clubroom is at Strykers Bowling Cente, Showell Road, Wolverhampton
(off the A449 Stafford Road - close to the city center and just 2 miles south of junction 2 on the M54).

Track Infomation
Lanes: 4
Length: 100ft
Surface: MDF Sandtex
Rails: Copper tape
Power: 13.8v Transformer.

Set up Tips
Chassis
Offset sidewinder motor mount with or without suspension. Track is smooth so no big advantage either way.
Tyres
As usual the Nsr Ultra grips work well although P4 seem to be good on the Wolves track. (I will be using NSR UG).
Motors
The 35K scaleauto can be used but is a bit of a hand full at times. The New Slot it 29k/3 is very quick but is a little more drivable than the 35K. If you want a car that is nice and steady but still competitive then, either the Slot it 25k/3 of Scaleauto 28K. A few club members have managed a anglewinder set up with a 25k Scaleauto or Slot It Boxer.
Gearing
The track has some fasrt and slow sections so depending on which motor you chose to go with either 10z or 12z with either of the 3 Slot It 18mm Sw gears. Depends on your driving style.
Guides
I think Cut down deep guides will work but I will be playing it safe with a Semi deep grey guide.

Cars
As for cars Either the Nissan or the Jag seem to be the favourate among drivers but Mclarens have also been seen to work well in the anglewinder configuration.

Accomodation.

Hi

What do I have to do to enter this?

Registration is 10 but not really any point as it is the last round of the year. You would be better off entering as a Guest, and if you like Join at the beginning of next year.

All you have to do is let Malcolm know you are entering and he will put you down on the entry list.

Hi FOLKS

This will be the last slot it event at our current venue as the bowling centre is re locating to the opposite side of town

So bring your cameras to get some shots before it all goes

Don't worry though the same track and an additional one is being re located at our new venue 2miles from the existing venue if all goes well

Hope to see you all there

Regards

Steve & Craig

Thanks for your entry, Malcolm is on holiday this week (somewhere nice)

I'm sure he will sort your entry out on his return, I will also give him a nudge to look

Are the sheep shrinking with all this rain down your way?

Hope to see you at Wolves

Let's hope he didn't go with XL - or just X as they are now known - otherwise he may be a bit more than a week ohmy.gif

Hi Ian,

Thanks, All the sheep down here have shrunken to Hampster size!!!!!! It's been rather wet to say the least.
At least we are having a bit of an Indian Summer at the moment.

See you,

Hi Paul,
I know Wolves is a popular venue for the Pinewood guys...but this looks like a 'takeover'!
Nice to see such a strong Pinewood entry.

Hi Bill,

Most of us are only coming up to have a play on the old Pinewood track dribble.gif .
It should be a great event to end another great year for the Slot.it Challenge clap.gif , to end the Wolves club at its current venue lmfao.gif , Pendle moving home as well wacko.gif .... Its all go.
