Hi all, i don't know if this has been done before. I done a search here i havn't come across a thread regarding bargains found or had. So here's my idea after searching for a bargain car to buy. Not cheap rubbish but decent bargains to be had. Post you finds here with links & pics if possble. I thought this would be a handy thing to have. What do you think? Been done before? Anyway here we go. I'll start with this these that are on eBay right now for £26.99 free post 2nd class. FERRARI F40 GT2 WHITE LIGHTNING RACING

FERRARI 412P NART No25

MERCEDES-BENZ 300 SLR COUPE The Classic Collection

Well i'll see what response i get to this thread but i will update with any other cars that look like a good deal. I'm a private novice & i'm not connected to any companies mentioned here & this is just for fun.

Best regards, rooster364.

Hi Rooster

I've bought from Jadlam a few times and always through E-bay.

No problems, although they weren't quite as quick on despatch as some other companies (only by a day or two), but they always have a load of stuff for sale. I've bought lots of extra track at great prices plus quite a few cars.

It's worth keeping an eye on them.

I have no connection with them either....only as a satisfied customer.

Cheers
Dave

Well boys i got this Carrera Aston Martin for the great big price of £5.73 + £3.00 P/P. Wing mirrors missing but this is all, i hope, lol. Good old eBay!! Anyway here's a couple of pics & a link if you fancy a look. Oh yeah i reckon a nice re-paint & some nice livery should do the trick.

eBay Aston

Thanks chaps for showing some interest. I've never had any problems with Jadlem after quite a few cars purchased. Their prices are good & like you say " bargains to be had". I fancy the MK 1 Escort by Roger Clark, the bronze one. £29.99 free post from Jadlem. Fair price.

Regards, rooster364.

Personally I love a bargain and a thread about where to get them is a good idea.
Picked up an unused Ninco AC Cobra for £16, which I thought was a result.

Result indeed. I'm after one of those. You can't beat a bargain. Best of luck.

We don't have a hard rule against posting eBay links, but we encourage members to use the Swap Shop for this.

Posting multiple links to JADLAM sales is only giving JADLAM free advertising. They give good deals every day - At the expense of the real hobby shops and slotcar specialists - so I'm against this idea.

Are you planning on posting a JADLAM link every day?

I really don't want to start the old debate on whether or not to allow eBay links - this topic is an argument against.

As i said in this thread " i have no connection to Jadlam". Sorry for the links, i didn't realise. No i won't be putting a link to Jadlem every day. I'm up for supporting the small trader but i don't have a lot of money & have to go to a price most of the time & the internet is a good way to find what you are after & at a price you can afford. Hope this makes sense to you & i don't mean to offend anyone. I will be becoming a member very soon so i take your point about the members area. I'm off to Addlestone model shop tomorrow by train from New Malden & then Mick Charles Model Supplies in Ewell by push bike so i do support the smaller traders.

Regards, rooster364.

I managed to pick up 2 great deals this weekend.

I got this little beauty for $35 dollars

And while talking to the guy who owned the shop he told me I could get any other car he had in stock for $30 so after reading Zipp's review I grabbed this:

Not a bad day, too bad he only had 1 slot.it in stock smile.gif

Oh yeah, that is canadian dollars, so like 60 cents on the pound smile.gif

Maplins have digital electronic calipers on special offer for £9.99. Ideal for making sure your car will pass scrutineering.

Cheers

Bargains? You want bargains? Cop this!

In a fairly local department store with a Hornby concession I found the two Top Gear cars in their polystyrene packaging for £25 - pretty good, I thought smile.gif
Got chatting to the department manager who I knew has a track himself and he asked whether I'd be interested in some sets with only the cars missing. "Yes", says I.
Ten minutes later I am leaving the store with the complete Super Digital GT set - minus cars - and the same for the Top Gear set. Total for the two sets? - £45 !!!! banana.gif
The temptation now is to use the digital stuff to make my move to the dark side, some bits will be sold on Ebay of course with me gaining a stack of track and bits for next to nothing.

Oh happy day cloud9.gif
