Always worth checking the charity shops guys, got this for the princely sum of £3.50!
After a quick test it needs a bit of a clean and so on, but it's otherwise 100% complete. Having read a bt more about HO on the forum and seeing how these little cars perform I might be a new convert!

43 pounds....for a Datsun?!?!?!?!?!?

The Fiat 600 is a rare car, but not 1000 pounds rare! That's Bugatti territory!

Cheers,

Maybe he is finding it hard to sell his collection and break the bond. I can just see the conversation at home:

"I want to make it in to a guest room! get shut of them" "look love its a very rare one, its easily worth that"

**EXCELLENT BARGAIN ALERT**

If you haven't bought yourself a Christmas prezzie yet and fancied the Digital Platinum set, but not the £500 price, then how does £334.99 sound?

Amazon Digital Platinum

By an off chance, my wife decided we should stop at a local Hospital Auxiliary Thrift Store.
Sure, why not, says I. Might find a 1A 12V PSU to use on the track lighting, when it gets built.

What do I find?
Well first there was a 1/43 Artin "set" (actually a bag of bits, so I passed on it).

Then I found this:

It was missing one car, the other was well damaged (so will use the chassis for something else), plus all the track is there as well as the analogue PB, analogue lap/timer counter, and 2 controllers.

How much you say?
Since it was the Friday before Christmas, everything in the store was 1/2 price. Good timing I would say.
I paid 10 Canadian Dollars... total.
That is about 6.25 GBP in Scalextric money... for what remains of the set.

The box is marked 21/08 which suggests it was made in the third week of May 2008. Am I correct?

Anyway, someone had fun destroying the cars (at least the remaining McLaren has about 1/2 of its body intact) and now it has been tossed.

Just thought I would share.
Cheers!

Just looking in argos the other day as i fried a DPR Chip on Xmas and got myself a chip delivered to my local store for 2 days time at £12, not a bargain but whilst looking they had....

Pit Lane Game @ £22........... http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/part...ESCALEXTRIC.htm

F1 DPR Chips £5.99......... http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/part...ESCALEXTRIC.htm

Digital lap counter £34...... http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/part...ESCALEXTRIC.htm

They also stock sets and stuff but there are a few accessory bargains to be had, not the obvious place to shop but if like me the nearest model shop is in the next county it's convenient!!

The trouble with the cheap prices at Argos s they never ve any in stock, I've been checking fr two weeks on he F1 chips and they have been out of stock fo delivery or my 10 nearest stores, this is not unusual in my experience, n fact t seems to be the norm.
