The November event will take place on the 1st and we will have at least one new routed stage and an extended version of the Killarney stage (with lane changer). If anyone is happy to bring along a new stage they are more than welcome please let us know. Phil F will post the regs soon.

Abergavenny - Monmouthshire 20 miles south of Hereford - 17 miles north of Newport - 17 miles west of Monmouth.
Directions via www.multimap.com - put in post code NP7 7EG. The Nevill Hall Hospital is situated on the A40 road to Brecon on the western side of Abergavenny, approaching from the east A40 or south A4042 the hospital is signposted from the roundabout on the eastern side of the town (local sign posts - black letters on a white background). The Social Club is behind the main hospital building next to an old mansion (the Conference Centre) but we may put up Wye Valley Slot Rally direction signs at the front and rear entrances to the hospital. If you entered before you`ll know to bring your own food, there are no catering facilities at the event, (Waitrose supermarket at Llanfoist - 5 minutes drive from club or Bailey`s a quite well stocked BP garage on the A40 - just off the Cantref Inn roundabout) we`ll supply tea, coffee and biscuits and there is a microwave to heat things up (not tyres). Nearest B&B is Hatherleigh Lodge - 01873 737666 (£30? per person) on the A40 by the Cantref Inn roundabout, ten minutes walk from the club. Or there is the Kings Head Hotel next to the Town Hall in the centre of town with a good restaurant Venue 59 adjacent to it, 01873 853575. http://www.kingsheadhotelabergavenny.co.uk/ General rules. Traction magnets must be removed. Motor and axles may be glued in. Tyre's can be from any manufacturer but must be rubber, except Classics which must be fitted as standard. Sprung guides can be used with or without springs. Weight may be added. Free choice screws and braids. Screws can be loosened to aid body rock. Tyre's may be cleaned between stages. Supplimentary regs will be added at a later date. -------------------- |

Thanks for that Bill, looking for a first in class this time? Thanks Peter and Gareth.
Dave no need to be nervous, we just play with toy cars and have a good laugh! See Gareth`s report in his months NSCC journal (Thanks Gareth). As for entries, its up to four cars and can be different classes or more in one class, although highest place per class counts in results and entry is £2.50 per car, you can decide nearer the date which to have a go at. Added to regs, motors, axles, gears and wheels must be standard fitting to all classes except modified/scratch built. Cheers - Phil B -------------------- |

I don't know what I've done right but the missus has given me a daypass for this!
I'll have a go in each class, and if you'd like I could probably bring either my DIY Loops or my modular Weeton Airfield routed track. See: http://www.slotforum.com/forums/index.php?...&pid=421063 (Sorry I can't seem to get the post link working Regards, Stu |

Hi Stu,
You are welcome to bring the Weeton airfield track, looks a very good track, just a couple of questions! Can you plug any throttle into the track using 3 pin plug? Can the lap counter have a total race time eg 3 laps of track = 24 seconds? Looking forward to having a go on your airfield track. Cheers Phil -------------------- Demon Slot Racing Team Driver.

Yes please John, have a think about the design and give us an idea of the table size, that`ll be great. Probably see you at Brooklands.

Phil(s).
The Weeton track uses a scaley power point and controller (jack plug type with brake capability), but I could probably knock up an adaptor/adaptors if you let me know what connectors most people use. (I gather then for the other stages, I'll need to use my own 3 wire controller?) The lap timing can be set for either a fixed time or a set number of laps. The reed switch has been moved to eliminate the missed laps, which seems to have worked but I'll know for sure after the 19th as I'm hosting a slot night for my motor club. Please PM me with details if you'd like, save clogging up the thread. Cheers, Stu. |
