That looks an awsome piece of kit, especially as it is largely plug and play.
It will be very interesting to see how much it retails at and when by (Autoworld have kept us on the edge before) Another thing for the chistmas list methinks. andy |

I can see this being a big hit at the EAHORC races.

That would be a good laugh, especially without magnets, imagine trying to launch a LifeLike T off the line with no magnets.

Good one Ju
This would be a good thing to have for next year's HO Grand Prix. Talking of which are you still bringing a rally track to this year's race? -------------------- |

I actually ran a lifelike chassis at the brooklands event on the Drag Strip.
Yes i got beaten by a 10 year old, but he did have a 1/32nd car. if i recall i did manage a 4.6 second run. The car had a Rokar porsche body and wheelie bars!!!! I did take out the mags and it does run ok down the drag strip with no wheelspin and no kicking out of the slot. I also modified the front to take a scaley quick change pickup plate and placed a tube round the guide so it didn't slop in the guide recess. In fact i did beat the scaley car on one run, it was that close. At the swindon slot meet at the beginning of the year, it did beat out of the box scaley cars. |

Good one Ju This would be a good thing to have for next year's HO Grand Prix. Talking of which are you still bringing a rally track to this year's race? Probably not, as that was a fairly unsuccessful experiment, trying to get a balance between sliding and controlability proved to be a bit difficult, though I have got a Tomy slide effect curve sat doing nothing, but if enough people are interested I could easily bring along a 2 lane track and some cars, would you need me to bring a table to set it up on? |

The table, possibly. I would check with Paul C from Pinewood. He is on here as My Fault, or you can PM me and I will give you his email address.
But you are coming to the HOGP either way? -------------------- |

I can see this being a big hit at the EAHORC races. I'd be all over this if it was at an EAHORC meet! It would be such a laugh, something to muck around with during the lunch break. -------------------- www.whoracing.org.uk

Obviously we need to see exactly what is what with this new device, but if it does what it looks like maybe a bunch of us could purchase one. A later version has timing screens and handicapping , according to something I saw on a US forum.
HO Drag strips are nothing new, but this is plug and play as Andy said. By the way Robin, did you contact ''Gareth''? -------------------- |

Hi Deane
Sorry for not getting back to you recently, i only returned from the states yesterday. I got in contact with Gareth and spoke to him about my efforts, he seems interested. I've offered him a lift to Pinewood in October too. I should meet Andy tonight as he is now in the UK and (if he got my e-mail) should be heading up to Roedale. I like the idea of the later version's of the Drag strip having timings and handicaps, very cool. -------------------- www.whoracing.org.uk

I figured you were on holiday. Did you check out the Katz-Spa-Ring or any other slotting venues?
