hi kids! long time no see!...been busy with real life and the tracks as usual have had to take last place,,so much so that i was even thinking about selling catalunya and breaking up mexico for separate dioramas!
however instead i turned the tracks around again, put them each near a window to offset the textures better and cleaned around a bit, thus inspiring a batch of fotos, to try and get me motivated again.
it has worked,,,loving the pics ..note the "real" weathering..cobwebs, cement(i was installing a window nearby!) and saw dust, loving it...

heres the pics cheers for now sig

I am LOVING the photos - especially the bullet-riddled van with the girl standing enigmatically watching or waiting - leaves unanswered questions, I believe most photographers would be proud of that shot.

Hi Sig, welcome back! I guess the power slides are going to be even more extreme if you have layer of concrete dust everywhere? Need some more Youtube therapy...

Great photos Sig. Nice to see you're still breathing and possibly upright. I was beginning to think one of the drivers from the SCX CRP might've run you over.

Love the above photo. But this one is pretty darned good too.

cheers chaps, glad you like them as you know i almost have more fun taking the pics than driving the cars!!
ember..yep just about upright still, winter drawing in so that hibernating/nest building model making instinct is kicking in again. i think i´m gonna push myself to do some of the finishing touches on all 3 tracks, catalunya needs the cave sorting still and the lights don´t work for no apparant reason, mexico needs loads of the planes fixing (thanks to the kids) and still not happy with the skyline detailing, and the city...well ...yep then theres a whole city needs sorting! (each building needs fine detailing and some sort of lighting set up..oh and then what to do with the cars!)
s ' all good, and beats selling it off.

could do with the bases on wheels also , oh and then theres the problem of dust!

as you can see, plenty to think about

ps, still need to get my hands on one of those flashy canons, for a proper vid also!! tongue.gif

some doing has been done you slave driver you!
the great think about modeling buildings is you can cut and paste them whereever you want...which is what has happened.
i wanted more of an impressive show of industry at the airfield hinting at the drug production or refining of liicit substances etc, also to bulk up the hangar end of the track a bit.
architecturally it needed to give the impression of been "bolted on " at a later date after the hangar was built. it looks very overpowering at the moment without paint or detailing but i think that can be dealt with. i cut windows in the back board to let natural light through the windows and to give a good peep hole for viewing and fotos around the hangar /radar area.

made of part of an old grinder, a cofffee percolator, a hair dryer, a fruit box, and a dinted baked bean can amongst other things which i can´t even remember where they came from

cheers for now sig

Hmmmmm. Should we be concerned about how much you appear to know about the production of illicit drugs?

The fact you have subconsciously used a coffee grinder - especially as ground coffee is used to try to put sniffer dogs off the scent ohmy.gif

Kidding.

Also admiring greatly your ingenious use of random objects to create completely unrelated things. Are you the Ultimate Recycler? You get my vote! cheers.gif

so i´ve given the machinery the once over with the airbrush, still needs loads of detailing by hand, but starts to indicate to me what is necesary
also enjoying the new viewpoints from the new doorways and arches that have been cut

Suitably grimey and industrial.

Glad to have you back on board Sig.
