Hi Silver Arrows.
Is this the thread you want us to state our entries on? The general Donington thread has been used by some of us already, maybe you should put the initial list on here, then everyone can enter on this thread. This will keep it all in one place and leave the other thread for general issues.
My PP will with you soon.
Cheers Bill.

Yes this is the official thread for entries, you can either post directly here, send an email to silver-arrows@ntl.com or send a PM or just pay directly into paypal and this will be taken as an entry.
We do prefer pre-payment by paypal (just an easy way of keeping the accounts!) but if you do not have a paypal account don't worry no problem we can make other arrangements.

May be a kindly mod could move the posts for previous entries to here from the other thread to keep it all in one place, please? smile.gif

Also, we think we have got the rules about right to make a good meeting but if anyone has a big problem with any part of them and it is stopping them from entering please let us know quickly and we can consider your points.

There should be an announcement concerning a sponsor soon, hopefully one of the major manufacturers.

Hi Silver Arrows,
You can include the usual Oaklands Park suspects: -
Mike Perry, Ralph Parker & Eddie Grice with Coop as a posibly at the moment.

Thanks Eddie
We have decided to make a couple of amendments to the race format and prizes
There will now be a final for the top five drivers with a trophy for the winner and also the concours winner will get a separate trophy.
The combined result will not be affected by this and still arrived at in the same way with trophies for the top finishers.
The regulations have been edited to reflect this.

Just a note to ask that when you are paying the entry fee please could we have a postal address for you as we will need to post out the VIP passes nearer the event.
Also the list of eligible cars may not be complete, if you think that you have found something else that ran in a GP with the Silver Arrows please let us know and we can add it to the list. One known race that has been left out is the Vanderbilt Cup run in the USA in 1936 that included Indy 500 cars, but we are not allowing these preferring to keep it to just GP cars.
There are also a few cars that although entered did not start or maybe even arrive for the race, these cars are still allowed as long as they are on the entry list for the GP.
The entry list is filling quite quickly now so don't leave it to late if you want to take part or you may be disappointed.

I hope I wasn't too late to register a friend and me.
We are from Germany and appreciate the opportunity to
see many beautiful cars not usually built and raced over here.

Well, I was intending having a quieter year slotcar wise. Looks like some further careful negotiation with my more intelligent other half is imminent...

I'm currently re-tweaking a previous build for Earlybirds, but believe it should also qualify for the Donington event.

Dave, if it was legal for Earlybirds then it will be ok for this event.

Hi,

beside the TRRC and Pink-Kar stuff, which Type of cars would you advise ?
I guess the TRRCs are a bit too heavy. I dont have much experience in
racing these cars. Any Help is welcome.

Cheers

Christoph
