Hi folks
Yes Scott, Beetle will be there, I'll be driving it - and we'll be looking out for 2CV's.... It was 5th on the Mini Mille Miglia (driven by Jaak Beentjes), just one second outside the target time, so it is working OK and has some more miles under its belt (though not "mille", obviously). Had a bit of an accident in the village section on the MMM and it could ideally do with a new rear bumper, which is probably like looking for gold dust....a chunk split off one end and then split into two pieces - I have the bigger of the missing bits, the rest is still attached! 207 - QUOTE As the Avant is in modified anyway Dave, what about a Slot It axle, crown wheel and alloys? That's a thought Phil, need to keep it 4wd though. I'll have a look in my spares box.Peter - sorry you can't make it. Cheers Dave -------------------- |

Hi Dave,
Slot it hubs go straight on the avant axle. Mine goes better in 2wd trim. Cheers Phil -------------------- Demon Slot Racing Team Driver.

Dave/Phil.
I have spent more time than I should have getting the avant slot 207 to work properly as a 4wd! I can see why Phil has got his 2wd, it is straightforward to make them work in this configuration. 4Wd is another matter altogether! I will bring mine along to Aber' so anyone interested can see what I have done to make it perform. It works very well now, but will need constant re-fettling to keep it on song. I won't be changing from my superb Fly Racing Porsche 911 in modified, as quick as the Pug is (now!) it is not IMHO as good an all rounder as the Fly. Cheers Bill. |

Hi folks
@Phil QUOTE Slot it hubs go straight on the avant axle. Sadly, having looked, I haven't got any, but I have some NSR ones that might do the trick.@Bill/Phil - my 207's 4wd has now become 2wd anyway, of its own accord....so I guess that's how it will stay....and the rear post on the chassis for locating the body screw has now split in half length ways! As for the Fiat 131, the problem is the SCX guide / copper strip lighting system not maintaining contact. I am playing about with it to try and improve it, but if it does not work, is it permissible to replace the guide and solder some wires from the motor directly to it? Cheers Dave PS Suby and Beetle still running OK -------------------- |

As ever, smooth operation and friendly welcome from the Wye Valley organisers. Thank you to everyone who helped put on a great event that seemed to cope with more entries than ever.
Now just five months to the Winter Stages. -------------------- |
