Just getting started with N-Digital. I am getting an issue where cars will stop suddenly - often crashing - at the Left -> Right LC entry. It seems they are catching on the plastic sleeve lining (there is no lining where the flipper goes). This is when the cars are driving straight on.

Has anyone else had this? Is there a solution, or have I got a faulty pair of LCs?

The cars are most likely catching on the small cut out for the lane change flipper. You can apply a very thin strip of some clear packing tape over the cut out to provide a ramp for the guide so it is directed smoothly over the edge of the liner. Another solution is to bend the plastic liner away from the slot right before the small cut out for the lane change flipper, this will cause the guide to miss the cut out.

If you are using NINCO cars, it is helpful to use the ProRace guide on each car. The ProRace guides are longer and track straighter on the track.

Also, be sure the guide somewhat self-centers by adjusting the wires that go to the guide so that they are equal in length and are long enough to allow the guide to fully rotate in each direction. Some cars have little slots to push the wires into. If your car doesn't have any slots then you can use a small amount of hot glue to hold the wires correctly in the center of the chassis near the front axle. Make sure you leave enough excess wire on each side so the guide can turn freely both directions without over straining the wires.

Best regards,
Brian

What Brian says. IMO, the best solution is the small strip of tape over the trailing (i.e., facing the guide flag) edge of the gap. Also check the relative position of he LC's. Look here.

Thanks guys! I am amazed Ninco haven't fixed this design issue yet - but it looks simple enough to solve
