I've just been thinking about some of these newly released slot cars and they all seem to look a bit, well 'new' so i was thinking that they should maybe release some cars that look like they've been driven into a hedge and generally a bit battered and bruised at some point in there lives, because when you think about it the real cars rearley cross the finnish line in one piece (or at all in some cases) so if any one has any opinions on this topic or any pictures of cars that could 'make the grade' that would be brilliant
hi
just run some pace cars on random lane change for a few weeks, the natural wrecked look will be created for you.Missing mirrors ,lights, spoilers etc all created just for you.
im in two minds here i like the look of a raced car but given the fact im never going to be able to afford a Lamborghini id like it to look very shiny and new for as long as possible(no one within two corners)
Here is a 50s Porsche, that I built with "crash damage" for a recent Le-Mans event.
I unfortunately "melted" part of the body, while making the brass chassis. So with only a day to go before the event, and not having another body, I decided to make the car look as if it had suffered some accident damage during the race... As you can see the team boss was not to happy
QUOTE (agrojim @ 8 Nov 2010, 12:41) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Hotwheels cars respond well with a hammer and a file for that trackside crash look. At $2 a car it's a lot cheaper than trashing a slot car.
Cheers,
Jim
Good idea for scenery, metal car and a hammer, I'll get my hammer out some time soon
Here`s a better image of it Embs, Dan has a vivid imagination as you can see, just search pics on the forum of Dead Mans Valley stage, we used it in last weekends Slot Rally GB final and although its a complicated stage, its an old favourite.
Cheers - Phil
That's the photo I've seen of it before. Looks like a tar pit. In 1000 years time archeologists will be digging up Scoobyman and debating over whether or not it was a ritual sacrifice.
Yes, now I remember, The beamer from the Mexican airfield track, nice car, nice track. Green car with the tow truck looks good as well, nice work sig, The king of junk!
Scoobie in the water, skid marks make it ever more realistic.
Well done.
I have the utmost care with them and see them in this state was shocking.
Regards.
Have you ever considered puting it on the shelf the other way round so you can't see the damage?
