Hi All,
For reasons that I can't really explain, I rather enjoy collecting & using slot police, marshal, safety and other emergency services cars, and I thought it might be nice to share some photos.
I'd love to see what interesting stuff everyone else has too, so please post pics.

I'll start, rather unimaginatively, with these:

Looks good Steve... Any possibility of sticking a slot chassis under it?

I'm surprised we get so many police cars, but so few Ambulances. I narrowly missed picking up a Bumslot ambulance a few months ago for £15...
It got relisted and went for £40-50. Bummerslot more like!

hi richard, the kit comes with a resin chassis so i think you could quite easily get a slot it motor pod or similar cut out a hole in the chassis and pop it in, cheers steve

Car 54 where are you ? But Toody & Muldoon didn't drive that kind of car. Anyone having watched TV in the first half of the sixties ?
Did Carrera deliberatly chose that number ?

A static Land Rover - a Heller kit like the Trafic van above. Bumslot motorised a few of these also. I have fitted LEDs to add to the track side ambience.

These are not slot cars but scenic items in 1/32. The fire tender looks to be the similar to Leo's. I think they're quite rare. I've been looking for a long time for 60s/70s scenic emergency vehicles but they're few & far between.

Hi there all, great thread..

Here is a GMC "tow" truck, that I converted to a slotcar a while back.
It started out as a motorised toy, very accurate to 1:32 scale and has a plastic body (unfortunately the only one I have as yet found)
After detailing the truck further, I mounted it onto a Ninco "Pro Truck" Chassis, so it goes well, great fun to drive.

I have some other photos of other unusual converted and RTR emergency vehicles, that I will post later today.

All the best.. Martin De'Ath
