> About:

The English Association of HO Racing Clubs (EAHORC) was set up in 2002 to promote club racing of HO scale cars in the UK. Races take place at locations all over the UK and we are always looking for new clubs to align with us. Check out our website for details of future events and a copious archive of past pictures and spreadsheets.

We also stand ready to help any home racers get more from HO, even if the do not wish to or cannot come to races.

We are close to finalising the details of the 3rd running of this event, with something major in the pipeline smile.gif

In the meantime feel free to post your hopes for the event, what car(s) you might run and so on.

If we raced at Disneyland that would be wicked biggrin.gif

Seeing Winney the Pooh marshal my car and watching Donald Duck get upset due to a de-slot would be the best.

We could even run a charity race to get Nemo's gimpy fin sorted out (don't pretend you haven't all seen it).

But i think my dream won't come true. Such is Life rolleyes.gif

Good guess, same firework style (maybe photoshopped), but a bit too far away.

It is actually the Heritage Motor Centre in Gaydon near Warwick, where the HOGP will be part of a massive slot festival. We get to show a full-blown EAHORC event to the slot masses, complete with our usual bells and whistles...

When will we see you at another EAHORC bash Tony? Are you involved with the Canterbury race on Jan 16th?

Here is the new website for the 3rd running of the HO Grand Prix.

Be sure to read all the rules, and procedures. That applies even if you are an experienced EAHORCer.

That is going to concentrate a few minds smile.gif

Another early thought is, if possible, to build a track 200' long or more. The back wall might be as much as 65' long, so that would be the site for the main straight...

60 ft straight will make setup interesting, especially in F1.

I am wondering about some better power supplies too. We should be OK with what we have now, but its something worth looking at.

Would it be a good idea to have the pits along the back wall of the room and the long straight in front of that, with drivers staions on that straight?

It also might be a good idea to allocate people pit space of around 1X1M.

An easy to marshall track would be nice as well, without someone having to sit in the middle of the track and while HO slot car racing will never be a great spectator experience, it would be nice to make something that's as spectator friendly as possible (but I don't know what the answer to this is).

Dave and me ran a couple of EAHORC-spec Mega-Gs on Derby's 233 foot Le Mans track. It was pretty awesome, but I reckon some time is to be made on a long straight by raising the rear tyre height a bit more. Roy was running a Storm at the same time and it was flying biggrin.gif

Could be one for the Super-Gs in Nascar too...
