Looks good
Those headers for the wiring are clever! The DB9 connector can be replaced by a RJ9 connector this is your choice. In my first release I did it like that. But RJ9 that I could get my hands on are print mountable, like on photo posted, I wonder who you'll fix them... Know that you will need a GND for the self made controller with Hall sensor. You can use the vibrator pin for GND. In this case you will have to disconnect the vibrator in the Ninco controller, otherwise it will vibrate all time although some might like it .... You could also add a swith or disconnect the GND on the header in case you will use a ninco controller. The controller with Hall sensor will give more variation in speed to the motor. When the trigger position is between two steps then the Nbase will alternate both steps this will result in a speed in between both major steps. This behaviour can checked by the leds when in curve mode. Thrust me once you have build a Hall controller or used a slot.it you will not go back to the ninco controllers... unless you mount a hal sensor in it -------------------- ![]() |

Our Nbase works and we have tested it in our club.
I have used it with my own build Simple H and also this works, I have much more power with this module than I had with the L6203 before. The hall controller I once made for Ninco D had little changes and is just great I'll try to find the scheme and make it digital if anyone is interested, let me know Nijn |

Last Friday our Ninco PB got broken
So I saw this as an opportunity to use my Nbase to do a competition race with. Saturday we prepared the Nbase so we could use it to race with it. We had to configure the tables so we could race with the original Ninco controllers. Till now we only raced with our SPC controllers or with our selvemade Hall controllers. The configuration of the tables was easy due thanks to the tool. Here is our setup: With the original Ninco controllers only 10 steps are available so we set the tables linear for the first 9 steps in speed. This gives good control in the low speed range. Step 10 was programmed to give the rest of the speed steps available. Furthermore we enabled the Nitro Boost and set the NBS= 11. This means that only 11 steps in speed are available during normal driving. When the LC is pressed all steps are becomes available and the car goes faster. The boost is available during 2 seconds and it takes about 9 seconds to refill completely. About the race, well the race went well and everyone was enthusiastic about the Nbase Result: I will have to look for parts to build few more Nbases After the race we did some tests with other curves and we tested the variable brakes. For the moment the pattern that gives the the best feeling is: 11010100 More testing and results will follow.... |

Who uses the Nbase?
We use one in our club and 2 of our members have one at home. We are satisfied with the possibilities and wonder if and how others us it. regards, Nijn |

Hi to all Ninco digital fans,
It looks like the Nbase project is not a big success due to the fact that it is not easy to build an Nbase from scratch. I got many reactions of people telling me that they like to have an Nbase but cannot build one or have it build. I am looking for a solution. Soon more info will follow. At this moment the Nbase is used in 3 or 4 clubs all of them in Europe. In Spain the Nbase is most successful at this moment (what also counts for Ninco Digital), this thanks to few guys. I appreciate the work they have done so far. A new manual and instructions will follow soon, just need the time to have them finished. Nbase -------------------- ![]() |

Hi guys,
Please try and get pricing for pre-built "consoles", featuring already built Simple H and nbase in one box. I'm interested, but would require the Simple H mod, as I intend running 24 scale BRM's, Plafit etc. Contact me directly if you have any questions.. Thanks regards Al Paterson -------------------- ![]() |

Hi HankV,
Welcome on this forum. It looks like you are going to build an Nbase yourselves! Good, no better, great! Know that you need to have some experience in soldering. Parts should be available in your country, I use nothing spectacular fort the Nbase. I'll post the latest version of the manuals soon. Have a look on these files ( old version do not build this one, too complicated) The simple H module is something else. Some parts seems hard to get. I suggest you buy an assembled Simple H see this topic Regards, NBase -------------------- ![]() |
