> About:

The English Association of HO Racing Clubs (EAHORC) was set up in 2002 to promote club racing of HO scale cars in the UK. Races take place at locations all over the UK and we are always looking for new clubs to align with us. Check out our website for details of future events and a copious archive of past pictures and spreadsheets.

We also stand ready to help any home racers get more from HO, even if the do not wish to or cannot come to races.

Yes that's the hall entrance but what you can't see on this shot is the cottage to the right that the hall is attached to. We will put a sign or something on the cottage door as I'm not sure we have the key for the other door. But yes feel free knock on any door that takes your fancy, the good folk of Marlborough are far too posh to be rude!

We moved downstairs into our new room last night and it is the one we will be using for the EAHORC round. As well as being bigger it is better lit and has a perfectly flat floor, unlike the the one we vacate.

The cool thing is we can host an EAHORC round in our regular club venue for the first time since the fire.

Here is some of it

and here is some more of it

Excuse my obvious ignorance but how do they L numbers work for the magnets with these cars?

Cheers

Jim

Here is the latest entry list, by (best guess at) PM class:

ProMod

Craig Homewood
Marc Townsend
Clive Harland
Rob Lees
Jon Cryer
Jim Easton
Deane Walpole
Andy Player

LMP1

Henry Townsend
Louis Townsend
Andy Whorton
Neil Lover
Marcus Lover
Robin Clark
Mike Dadson

Nascar

David Hannington
Paul Whorton
Robin Cornwall
Simon Coombes

Modified:

John Ferrigno
Paul Homewood
Lee Taylor
John Chell

Looks like the Mod runners, and maybe the Nascar ones, should have a 'plan B' just in case.

Marc - Can you confirm any of those LMP1 runners?

Roughly speaking the higher the number after the L, the more chips by mass of Neo are within the polymer.

Similarly, the N numbers for Neo magnets work the same way. Unfortunately the three manufactures all like to play silly games when it comes to magnets, so the suffixes and numbers mean less than you think.

Marc - Is that sluggo arm balanced?

L= level or strength of a polymer magnet, not going to pretend I know what scale itt related to but higher means stronger. Don't even know if it's an absolute measurement or comparative?

N = Neos. It doesn't actually or it might but neo magnets are meassured in N's but I don't know how an N and an L compare

I hope by the time I post this one of you lurkers has helped me out.

Robins post on the 'pro mod set up' thread is really useful, look it up.
