Like to add my thanks to all the gang up at Pendles...as with all the other events I've been to there it was a fun weekend. Well done to all the winner...especially great to see a Gainsborough 1,2,3 in the U2L class clap.gif

This was my first scratchbuild event, and although I didn't expect to be rebuilding my car all day Saturday (enough said about that situation now I think!!!) it definitely won't be my last. Frustrated that I didn't get the chance to really see how my car could have run, but enjoyed the weekend never-the-less.

Glad I had the standard class to race in and really enjoyed the slightly less competitive nature of that...pretty happy with 5th place as well smile.gif With a bit of luck Dave will be a bit steadier on his feet next time and won't be rugby tackling me on the podium half way through the race!!!! biggrin.gif

Cheers

P.S Apologies again to Gordon for my slightly overheated shout at him when he didn't marshall my car in 0.5 seconds when I crashed in front of him....sorry mate!

Sorry about that Lee. Its not the first time I've had problems remaining on two feet whilst at Pendle; although I'm pleased to say (thanks to your good self) Sundays crash landing was less painful than my previous tumbles in the past... smile.gif

Cheers,
Dave

Lucky martin and Ted are taking the focus off me. I was extremely tired, but that didn't spoil the day

Just catching up after a soggy day out at Oulton Park watching British GT (debut win for the Ecurie Ecosse BMW Z4 if you're interested), and had to add my congratulations to all the winners and those that placed, and also my thanks to the Pendle lads for some smart organisation and a quality event.
Also would like to apologise to my race-heat competitors for being late to the start almost every time, and the reason for that....well, I'm also apologising to everyone that I had to break off a conversation with when they asked me a question about my Escort MkI and I had to go race! smile.gif
It can be hectic at times biggrin.gif
Same time, same place next year? Count me in

cheers.gif
Cheers!
Phil Clayton

PS. Martin, Jake & Ted in the same photo? That's a sturdy lens you have Mr B.......

Thanks everyone! Who was the lucky (or unlucky) driver(s) that drove the Falcon and Vitesse?

The full Race Results are now online along with the great photos from Ian.

Some great racing in all the classes, shame Rob lost his grip during the A final, it would have been an interesting last few laps.
Well done to all the winners and Matt 'Mr Starter' Blades for ploughing through all the heats & doing footages.

Thanks,
Neil

Thanks! Do they post on this forum? I'd be interested in getting their driving impressions of the cars

Thanks Nic/Sean.
A great second 'Pony Wars' event.
A much better attendance than last year, but still disapointing how many late 'no shows' there were.
Well done to all the winners and placemen, great to see such close fought racing in all classes.
Concours to a very high standard, some lovely well built models to admire.
Personal thanks to Rob Davies (lift to meeting) and Chris Adams on the loan of his unfeasably quick VW Beetle!
I should have made a better job of at least putting it on the podium, and after Chris's '6,ooo mile service' before the finals,
I nearly made it!
I hope you keep it as a regular 'Classic' event, these well run, friendly, meetings deserve all our support.
Kind Regards Bill.
